I'm not sure where they are located on the cover/shroud of a 12 HP but, there are usually 3 lines of #'s stamped on it. You have to look at every square inch of the shroud real good. I guess there could be a tag on the shroud also but, most likely stamped!

No Yamaha and No Briggs & Strattons......all for various reasons! They are Kawasaki, Kohler and Hondas! We are yet to get the Hondas....as they are on the larger models and they should be on the 2nd or 3rd delivery!

Nobody likes being charged a lot of money for any repair, especially after they pay and the problem is not repaired......but if it is repaired, they don't mind it "as" bad. Just remember, you can't always please everyone.....no matter what you do, even if you do a lot of it..... for free!

We just got 21 new Bad Boys in 2 weeks ago, which is a full tractor trailer load. There are 77 more on the way. New Ferris mowers started arriving last week. Cub Cadets are on order but have yet to see any of those.

Those bolts, if it is original, have Loctite on them too.....so the piece up in there is Loctited in!

The reason I asked that is, 1 tooth either way, advanced or ********, is too many degrees to run real good or better than O.E.M. setting.....now a few thousands, yes...but 1 tooth, nope! The attached pic is how I do it!

You moved the cam, 1 tooth on the crank gear......you actually did this?

Just so you know in case you call a shop about it....that is called a 5" tire because it goes on a 5" wheel....it's not called a 11" tire. Spend the cost it takes to have a shop do it....you'll be a lot happier in the end!

BB had a 33hp Yamaha EFI engine and a few others, on some 2021 mowers

If I'm not mistaken, my boss told me some of the 2022 Bad Boys she ordered, have Hondas......since this B&S fiasco....she ordered Kaw, Kohler and Hondas....NO B&S engines! She also said BB dropped Yamaha engines, I think only because lack of availability!

Seems like I do recall, at the Kawasaki engine update "schools" that if a John Deere product had a Kaw engine, you had to go through JD instead of Kaw! JD must have a lot of Kaw products and a lot of $$$, to have a hold on Kaw like that!

Wow....and I thought 3.5 months was bad!

Crazy, after waiting 3 1/2 months for a 28hp Twin directly from B&S.....finally got it yesterday. I wasn't sure if B&S was still breathing air but.....I guess they are! Oh wait....still waiting on some B&S E.F.I. cylinder heads.....2 1/2 months so far on those!

I have an infamous B&S 49T877 engine with 80 hrs that I'm parting out....heads, crankshaft, piston, rod, coil, carb, flywheel etc!

If you bought it new, take it to the Dealership you bought it from, let them deal with it.....Bad Boys have a 2yr warranty

If you bought it from a dealership, take it back to them and let them look at it, that "should" be a warranty repair......I have repaired a few (under warranty) before they came apart! It is not so much a design flaw, as it is an assembly flaw!

Yes, it's the same story everywhere....we have been waiting several months on new mowers, engines, cylinder heads, belts..all have been paid for by the customer and or for warranty, and all are on backorder. It's the same in most all industries...I don't know what the answer is to remedy this...

Check and adjust the choke to were it closes all the way when the throttle lever is in choke position.

rested the tip of the spark plug on a frame screw and tried to start the mower. Spark every time to the spark plug. I got another new spark plug (same as the one mentioned) and gapped it to 1/4". A 1/4" spark plug gap?.....you better re-gap that spark plug first, before you try anything else!

You can buy a suspension seat for any mower......but you better bring your thick wallet!

The Avengers have an Internal Expansion Bladder inside each wheel motor, the oil level could be low from factory but, not likely. The fluid level can be checked on level surface. They have a 2 year Warranty....it might be tough to get it worked on if it was bought at a box store though, call...

We sell both, Bad Boy and Ferris...among others but, the 3200 Ferris has a softer, smoother ride than the Rogue!

20-50 motor oil...we sell Schaeffers Racing 20-50 for all our Hydro-Gear sysytems. Hydro-Gear told me, even the older mowers that said they used 15-40, 15-30, and even some synthetic oil systems, they now recommend 20-50 motor oil for those also...Straight from Hydro-Gear!

There is a shortage in all the major brands on mower engines, and some parts. Got a Kaw FR730V crankshaft in 3 days...and B&S EFI cyl heads are on back-order with ETA time unknown.....so you just don't know.

Just a heads up!.....if you own a 2021 BB Rogue, check with your Dealer about having the pump pulley keys and keyways checked for correct size key and tightness of set screws......you're welcome!

A high/good grade of 20-50 engine oil.....if you lift up the seat, there will be a sticker that says that.....if the sticker is still there!
