You have a belt tensioner built in (circled in red). Check it for free movement. It will be very dirty and not moving well. Take it completely apart clean and lightly sand off the rust. Spray with large amounts of Lithium grease and put back together. Check idler pulley (circled in green) for...

I have circled the parts I have to straighten the most. I remove them and beat them back flat with a hammer. Almost any size hammer will do but the bigger ones make for faster work of it.

Thought for the Day. The reason I like pictures of a woman's backside is that it does not remind me of the side that talks and destroys it.
This is a picture of the bypass lever. It is attached on the right side of the rear end. Find the rod attached to it. It will exit the chassis somewhere normally the back. This should all be covered in your manual.
