Re: MTD Yardman Transaxle Rebuild
Well here it is after 5:15 PM finally got to the forum, had a "drama" this morning ... I was sittin on the front porch with my coffee @ around 5:30 this morn ( my usual routine to wake-up) when out of nowhere this dog runs up to me, it was dark so it scared the schitt outa me, didn't know what it was at first, thought I'd been had by a coyote or wolf, (we have lots of creatures here in the forest) anyway it was a beautiful what appears to be a female Malamute, probably less than a year old, she stood about 18-20 inch's tall, and just won me over over instantly with those big sad eyes and waggin tail. I was checking her neck and found a choke chain with a broken snap-swivel, NO ID tag and a FOOKIN HUGE BARK-COLLAR !! the bark collar was so tight I could barely get it off her, the led light was on, so I know it had to be workin, cause she never made a sound, even when I removed it.
I was pettin her and she was lickin all over me and she went down the stairs and disappeared into the darkness, I went back in the house for another cup of coffee and when I came back out she came back up on the porch, and laid down next to my chair, just staring at me, BIG pleading eyes, so I went and very easily awoke the queen .... kidding I said I got you something out on the front porch, she finally came out and this pooch started her licking routine on the wifey, INSTANT LOVE !! we discussed some plans none of which involved keeping her, (we have 3 indoor cats) THAT'S a handful at times, anyway for the past few weeks we've been hearing a dog howling, (much like a coyote) at times it lasted all day and into the night, we noticed we weren't hearing it this morning... could this be the mysterious howler ??? well she never made a sound, the whole time we had her, except when we put her in a neighbors outdoor fence kennel, and we went to mow the lawn there, (they're snow-birds and are up north till Nov. ) so we take care of the lawn and property maint. when they're gone, she started those whimpering sounds so every few minutes we would stop mowing checking her food & water we bought for her, ( special trip to the store) she didn't care for the cat-food we offered, but she sure wolfed down that dog food, she was kinda skinny but very clean, as if she was an indoor pet or in some kind of structure just a real loving attention loving hog, fabulous dog. anyway we called the local pet rescue center (NON-euthanizing facility) and they finally came at about 2:00 to get her, funny how quick you can get attached to an animal so quickly, I detected a few tears from the wifey's eyes, and my own heart felt heavy too. But we just couldn't keep her, we wonder why some people treat their animals with that much cruelty, hopeing she gets some NEW folks that will love her like she needs and wants, we kept the bark collar and never said a word to the rescue folks, guy said she'll get a vet's checkup first thing and all the care she needs.. HOPE so .
