    Online parts purchases

Thanks, I've researched and i saw there was a front harness and one for the PTO i believe it was. I could get it running but I would like to have all the safety switches working also.

    Online parts purchases

I bought JD 190C project mower. The wiring is pretty butchered up and I was wondering if the wiring harnesses one can purchase are good quality. I could probably sort mine out but if these harnesses are good quality that would save time.

Where to find Walbro LMT 799728 Carb for 12.5 HP Engine?

These are pretty much my thoughts too. I've ordered several carbs off of Amazon and I've gotten good service from all of them. The only thing that upsets me is when a part is listed as OEM and you receive it in a plastic bag. I recently ordered a gas filter for my generator from Amazon, ad...

    DLT2000 deck question

Looking at a Craftsman DLT2000 with a rusted out 42" deck. Anyone know what problems I might run into if I switch it to a 48" deck?

Put tire on rim while on the mower

This is the correct answer. Use the vice grips like he said and it is pretty easy. Just don't pinch your tube.

    Craftsman (Husqvarna) tiller transmission broke

I had to take the transmission apart on my Poulan Pro last summer, it is the same as the Husqvarna. Some water had gotten inside mine and the shifter had frozen up, so a gasket was the only part I needed. A little tip, every video I watched they took both wheels and tines off. I fought with...

    Never take their word

A buddy of mine that was in the trucking business had his own storage tank. Well, the distributor brought him a load of fuel, but it was gas. A CAT engine locked up in his truck. If you're familiar with the price of Caterpillar parts, you can imagine how much it cost to replace his engine.

    Cheap Chinses Carb

My personal experience has been fine with the Chinese carbs. I've bought two for 2 cycle engines and those I also got the tool to adjust the air screws with. One for a 6 hp Subaru engine for a go kart and one for my riding mower. They all ran fine out of the box. Only one I returned was my...

    No Ethanol vs Ethanol Gas

In my Stihl chainsaw and weedeatet, non-ethanol definitely runs better. Engines just rev up much quicker and more crisp sounding. I used to do a lot of drag racing and I ran av gas in them. The guy at the airport told me it was at least a 100 octane, this was back in the 80's. Well, if I was...

    Bad Surging 11 HP upright

I've got a 5500w Troybuilt generator with a Briggs engine. It would surge from the time I bought it new until a couple years ago and decided I would look at the governor. Mine had a spring with different holes to hook it in. I switched holes and it smoothed right out. As far as cleaning...

    US Postal Service

I think the USPS does a great job considering the volume they do. If I want to, I can mail a letter cross country for 58 cents, good deal I think. 75% of purchases from Amazon I get in two days, some things in one if I order before noon. I don't buy much from Ebay, what I do comes by Fed Ex...

    Air Fryer cooking

Well I love all the air frying info. We have one of the round ones that we mainly fix fries and onion rings in, much better than dealing with a skillet of hot grease. I like to reheat pizza in too, leaves it a little crusty instead of limp like the microwave does. As mentioned earlier though...

    Vanguard carb backorder saga continues.

Oh I agree the aftermarket carbs wouldn't be something that a repair shop that stands behind their work would want to use. But I do my own repairs, so I know what I'm getting.

    Yamaha EF600 Generator issues

    Vanguard carb backorder saga continues.

I don't deal with the number of engines some of you guys do, but I've bought four Chinese carbs for personal use over the years and they have all worked great. They even sent me the tool to adjust the two cycle carb.

    Fuel questions

My garden tiller sits from September till May normally. Never drain the gas and have never had a problem with it starting in the spring for the 20 years I've owned it, except one year about 5 years ago when I had decided to add Sta-Bil to the gas in the fall. Had to take off the carb and do a...

Which 2 cycle brand do you prefer?

I like Stihl chainsaws and weedeaters. Mostly because they seem to start easier than others I've had. Someone stole my Stihl trimmer about a year ago, replaced it with a Husqvarna because the dealer was out of the Stihl I wanted, the Husky runs good, but if my wife uses it, she has a tendency...

    John Deere hydro question

    John Deere hydro question

I've been mower shopping since there are some to pick from finally. I'm looking at a X350 48" cut that says K46 hydrostatic intergrated with transaxle and a S240 that says K46 heavy duty hydrostatic two wheel drive. Are these the same set up? The intergrated part has me confused. Both have...

Looking for good tube brand or type

I put Dawn dish detergent on the inside of tubeless tires when I mount one. Just take a rag and wipe it all around the inside and let it dry before you air it up. I used to drag race a lot and we put Dawn in our slicks which have thin sidewalls and tend to leak slowly.

Mice in my engine or - I hate those mieces to pieces

I've bought several of the Chinese knockoffs from Amazon and Ebay for chainsaws and weedeaters and go karts, they've all ran great. The two cycle carbs they even sent the tool to adjust the air screws. Just be careful to get the correct one, get the number off your carb and then compare the...

    Purchase new tractor or repair

Check on Facebook Marketplace for a used deck. I found a 42" deck for my LT1000 for $75 in really good shape. An old deck is thin and hard to weld, and you'll be doing it again in a year or two.

Diesel doesn’t go in these ....

Friend of mine went to Lowes and bought a new Husqvarna riding mower. Takes it home, my friend was a trucker, and fills it with diesel accidentally out of a jug he had setting around. Mower won't run, so he hauls it back to Lowes and they give him another one. He said on his way home it...

BENT SHAFT: 3.5 horsepower Briggs & Stratton has a bent shaft.

I straightened one using the big hammer method, I could cut grass with it, but it still had enough vibration that I had to tighten the carb bolts every couple weeks. Go down to Lowes and buy you a cheap Bolens 20".

Where would the world be without the USA?

What exactly does "compulsory voting" mean? You have to vote for some one? There are certain people here that don't think you need an ID to vote. You Aussies have ID's to vote?

    G100 John Deere

Found a G100 JD for sale. Looking to replace my Craftsman LT1000, it's still doing the job, so no big rush. The G100 is a 2003 from my research. It has a 25 hp Kohler engine, 54" deck and a K66C transmission. The guy says it has 635 hours on it. He's got it priced at $700, haven't done any...

Briggs 330000 Vertical head gasket Q

Copper Coat works well on steel shim head gaskets, if the block or heads have a course look after milling. I've used it many times drag race engines. Should work on composite gaskets also.

    Broken D110

Thanks for the replies. I know a guy that has a 21 hp Briggs, single cylinder off a JD that I can get. Is the exhaust the same on a 19 and 21 hp you think? I put a Briggs flathead on my LT 1000 and changing the exhaust was a pain.

    Broken D110

Found a 2016 D110 for sale. Haven't looked at it yet, the guy says the motor is bad. Says he can turn the top? Looks like a nice mower in the picture, asking $500. I'm a pretty good DIY'er, if I can't repair this engine, do most other engines interchange? It's a 19hp Briggs. Is it worth $500?
