Many people are upset with the USPS and that is understandable. But, put the blame where it lies.

Below is a link that describes the top position in the Post Office. That position was filled during the LAST administration, not the current one. The President, who ever it is, has very little LEGAL control over the Board.

Most of the problems I have had with USPS deliveries and mysteriously long trips have been under this guys watch. A one man wrecking crew, in my opinion.
I never noticed any problems until after Jan 21 2020. Postage skyrocketed along with gas, groceries and mower parts. Sellers are using the cheapest service they can to ship. That means its slower. Post office has had financial problems for decades but the service has never been better. Postal service aint amazon dude. You may want to bring up topics you know a little more about rather than a sneaky political bash like this.

I notice it in 2019 when the person on charge of post office throw out all the high speed sorting equipment in a junk pile. Then told employees to sort by hand can you see all that money rusting away now at a snail paste? Fed X got rid of him and Trump hired him now we are stuck with him can't even him.

We had minor issues over 25yrs at my last home where mail went to same house number but next street over so we had to switch our mail out all the time like on they did on that Cheers episode..lol
Now days USPS mail has clearly gotten worse though.
We moved to the country a few yrs back and our mail just disappears for one thing??
We have our mail setup to have a picture emailed everyday so we know exactly whats "supposed" to be delivered? Whats pictured dont always make it to us but other letters/boxes pictured with it are in the box? We get 97% or so?
Its not stolen out of the box we know that or they'd steal the packages too thats for sure.
Some mail just dont make it from our post office to my box?
Then theres the "No knock door deliveries" that are done today after we all know package theft is on the rise? Wth is that ignorant bs?
I can guarantee this decision only gives theives a lot more time to steal your chit. Thats all its doing so no question our mail system today costs senders and recipients both a lot more money. He is one ignorant p.o.s. running no make that "ruining" the show.

I think the USPS does a great job considering the volume they do. If I want to, I can mail a letter cross country for 58 cents, good deal I think. 75% of purchases from Amazon I get in two days, some things in one if I order before noon. I don't buy much from Ebay, what I do comes by Fed Ex. Usually a week. My mail lady is great, if I get a parcel to big for my box, she brings it to my door! I give her a card and a little bonus on Christmas.

And only package I've ever lost was a t-shirt coming from China, got a refund so I didn't really care.

Well most here do their own repairs so we order parts for mower/tractors and many on here ship those parts so it is relivent to most here in the group.
I can understand its not for members who drop their units off to a shop everytime it needs a spark plug or air filter cleaned out and just get letters in their mail box. I get they dont see it being relivent.

Then you are one of the lucky ones. In my areas mail has been dump in the local creek a few times. About six packages last got lost in the system. As I said before I don't use the USPS any more than absolutely necessary due to their poor performance.

Off topic but a funny USPS story.
I used to service the copiers and printers at a city post office. Before 911 i parked in the mail truck lot and walked in and went anywhere i needed to go. After 911 everthing changed. I had to park in the customer lot and had to be escorted everywhere. No big deal but they also had a new rule where only postal employees were allowed on the sorting floor. I serviced a printer on the sorting floor that printed off paperwork the contract mail carriers needed every day. Well, the printer went down and the man in charge of security would not let me on the sorting floor. OK. Your rules not mine. The postmaster was crapping bricks because the contract carries had not been able to deliver mail for 2 days. The security guy said he answered to someone besides the postmaster. Absolute cluster. I had an FBI clearance and a DoD top secret clearance and a top secret clearance from the NSA but i can't be on the post office sorting floor. Really? The security guy said to move the printer into another area but it is about the size and weight of a Smart Car. After a lot of weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth and undelivered mail they let me on the sorting floor. You just gotta love bureaucracy at its finest.
