worst part about passing stones, is the end result!!!!!!! Not intended for anything other than liquid. I passed a stone more than twenty years ago that felt like an elephant stomped his way through the whole way, stone was so large NASA could track it with a satellite, then had to deal with burning pee for a couple of days........never drank a glass of cola ever again, and never had a stone since that day.

So I feel for you dude.....not fun at all.

Good morning all.

I had a fight with the stone last night. We fought from 8 pm till 1 am. And I kicked it arse out!!! It put up a good battle and commend it in its struggle. But in the end, I was victorious.

Way to go Chuck, GOOD MAN, now STAY healthy! ......

Gettin ready to watch my Nascar race this afternoon, Sandwiches, snacks, cold drinks, pretzels & chips with tons of dip, hopin my "man" pulls it off again, unfortunately, Brad's car is not as fast as his short track cars, but this is at the big Texas Motor Speedway and all the guys are out to stay in it for the final four drivers in the Grand Championship run at Homestead ,the final race this year. Of course the restarts is where the action is, where all the lead changes and BIG "Ooops" happen, especially around the last 25 or so laps. Oughta be an exciting one !! ...my man ......... Brad Keselowski . What I really like about Brad is that he's a real Patriot! he displays the AMERICAN Flag as the victory flag, instead of the checkered flag, when he wins a race (and he's a POLOK too!)

for me it is going to be a long rainy day.........turned the heat up in the garage where I think I will spend then next 5 hours working on my tractor, one of them anyway.

This season I decided to pull for the #22 car, your driver's team mate.
Not because I like him, however. Quite the opposite!
Joey is pretty much my least favorite non-back-marker driver, but he used to win when I didn't want him to.
So, my cheering for him really put a whammy on his season!
I figgered, if he won, I'd be rooting for a winner.
And, if he didn't win, then I'd REALLY be happy!
So, it has been a good year.....

I have always been a fan of Martin Truex Jr. How can anybody NOT like him??

CYLONIC DUST COLLECTOR ( a.k.a. Road Cone Rehab)

I got the dust collector for my sand blasting cabinet finished. I works very well and captures even fine dust. My buddy at the Highway Department got me an old beat-up road cone to use. A 5 gallon bucket serves as the collection bin and I made the rest of the parts. The 'top-hat' cylinder is made from Masonite, (aka 1/8" hardboard, or 1/8" MDF).

None of the piping or 2-1/2" (actually 2-1/4") vacuum fittings actually "fit" anything except the blast gate, which is now located on top of the collector so that it is in the 'clean' air stream. Everything else had to be diddled with to make the connections air-tight.

The 2-1/2" vacuum line goes to my regular 1 HP dust collector which is mounted up in the garage overhead. It serves the wood shop via a 4" duct system that runs through the wall between the garage and the shop. Blasting media was being sucked directly into it which was why I decided to build a cyclone collector. I didn't figure glass bead media was going to do the vac fan any good in the long run.

This will also allow me to collect what media gets sucked out of the cabinet and then dump it back in again to reuse it.

Good way to recycle an old road cone.

I am glad that you have passed your last stone.. I've passed two of them in my life and had gall stones (had to have gall bladder out) and believe me brother I can sympathize with you.. Hurts like hell!! Just reading about your bouts with them makes my guts curl up and turn to jelly.. I don't ever want another one!!
