Well, here are the pictures, Pardon the grass, I couldn't wait to mow.
You are correct, I should have done this years ago, I mowed less than half speed because I was a little confused with the controls, but the hour meter registered .7 tenths of an hour, I was wondering were all the grass went to.
I set the mower at the highest level and my cut grass was about 6 inches, I cut to put the clipping in one row then I came back and made one pass over the clippings and they were all gone, the yard was clean and perfect.
There may be mowers out there that cut and perform better than this one, but not in my book, this is the best mower I have ever had and have no regrets about spending that much on a commercial type mower.
Now I'm outside with a measuring stick waiting for the grass to grow a little so I can mow it again.
That Kawasaki FX 600V ran flawlessly.

Actually the horsepower rating is accurate, the other manufacturers overrate their engines, If I had gotten a briggs for this same mower it would have been advertised at 24 hp, but probably actual hp would have been around 20.
I mowed my 1 acre and used about 1/4 of one tank of fuel so I should be able to mow my yard realistically 6 times before refueling.
My grass was wet and thick and I cut 6 to 8 inches off of the grass and the engine didn't even slow down, my biggest problem was traction on the wet grass on the inclines.
Thanks for the reminder on the zerks, there are I believe eight other grease fitting on the mower even the front wheels have fittings.
The unit is small compared to the 150 or other ztm but that is what I wanted so I could go under my crape myrtle trees and all my other trees.
It is beyond my expectations, I am very happy with it, I couldn't have designed a better mower for my yard.

Elendil, did you get the Kommander, if so how do you like it?
I wanted the Kubota but the dealer was not real good.
I don't think any of my photos showed my Kubota B-100 in the back ground, I will have to look at them again.
I have a B-100 4 cyl diesel Kubota with front bucket, backhoe and belly mower, couldn't use the mower because the tractor is too heavy for my lawn.

By the way , the Kawasaki engine has the same exact air filter as my Kubota diesel.....neat!!!

Yes there are several more zerks on the mower, I grease the casters a little more frequently because I don't want them to freeze. Your mower is actually the same size as mine, except mine has the zt5400 hydros instead of the zt3100. I am very happy with mine. I have a ball mowing my 4.2 acres.

Darn, I wish I had four more acres, if we lived closer I could come over and help you mow yours....Ha!Ha!
When I finished mowing I actually drove the mower around my yard thinking I must have missed some areas......nope!
Now I'm hoping the grass will continue to grow like it has been so I can mow in a couple of days.
I'm actually having fun with this, WOW!

Lol, there is a church across the road from me that has a 6 acre lot. We could really have a blast mowing both sides of the road.

Thanks. I was close to getting the Kommander, but with the rebate and 0% I couldn't pass on the commercial unit. Have fun with your mower! We just got 1/2in of rain last night with another couple of inches predicted for tomorrow. Grass will be nice and thick by the weekend. Woohoo!

I think you did the right thing, that is a much nicer unit than the Kommander.
I almost went to the S150XT Snapper for close to the same price but the physical size of the mower wouldn't work around my yard because of the obstacles.
Nice mower, should last you many years..................Ron

Yes it would. I made the trip to Florida a few times. Once as a kid, again on my honeymoon, and a third time on vacation with my wife and daughters. Got a new born son now, so I imagine I will be making at least one more Florida trip again in a couple of years.
