Great, I have four bows, two martin recurves one 45 lbs the other 60 lbs, I have a long bow 55 lbs that I made myself for fishing and my favorite is my Howard Hill long bow 55 lbs.
I have made all my arrows and have enough to start a war. LoL.
I'm getting away from all the strenuous out door activities, my tired bod is slowing down due to my heart regulatory meds I'm taking.

The job with the Florida Marine Patrol I think you would have loved, but your job I'm sure is just as good.
I originally wanted to go to Wisconsin and become a forest ranger, but could not afford the 2000.00 a year tuition for seven years back in 1962.
Yes, it took longer and costs more to become a forest ranger than a doctor....What can I say!

I have visited some of the eastern states and they all seem nice, I am more fond of western NY, not because I was from there, but it is beautiful country.
People think of NY as being polluted and full of traffic and a lot of buildings, only NY city not the state.
I'm staying here because I can ride my motorcycle 365 days a year.

You aren't missing a lot from not riding an airboat, you have to wear some serious ear protection, to me that's not fun.
but if you want to get into the shallows to hunt or fish, they come in handy for that.

Florida is getting so over populated it's bad, back in the fifties and sixties it was great, still a lot of wild life and unpopulated swamp land, now it's all being filled in and the traffic is bad, you are better off where you are.

It's kind of funny, I am mostly native American (Seneca) and when we moved to Florida my parents bought a house on the Indian River, now how is that for fate. Lol
SHughes, it sounds like you had a great life so far, keep it up and be happy..........Ron..........Ron interpreted in the Seneca language means, he who should not play with sharp objects. Ha!Ha!

I have only been to one state north of Virginia, and that is Michigan. I would like to go to the north east during fall. I bet the colors of the turning leaves is awesome to view. My wife and I hope to travel some day to places other than amusement parks. I love my kids and enjoy every minute with them, but I am to a point in my life where I enjoy scenery better than a roller coaster. I have been to Dusseldorf Germany. It was a neat experience and a culture shock to say the least. Wouldn't go there again unless I had someone with me I trust who speaks german, or I learn the language myself. I think I would have gotten more out of it had I been able to communicate better.

I have had my S50xt for a month and I have mowed my 1 acre six times, which is nothing really, I probably will not know how this mower will perform until I have it a couple of years.
So far I haven't seen anything I dislike about it. It seems to be a very rugged machine, performs and handles well.
I have never been on a zero turn until this one and I was mowing with full confidence within 15 minutes and mowing absolute straight rows, not even a wiggle.
It has two five gallon tanks and I'm still running on those.
The only problem I have found is: and this could be similar to all zero turns is, when I mow across a steep incline the wheel that is toward the top of the hill will lose traction, I find I have a problem trying to turn up the hill.
I believe a set of wheel weights would cure this.
This mower is a dream to operate, it's compact and handles beautifully. I will never trade it for another, this is the one for me, also before I forget the cut is tremendous, this mower has cut flawlessly since day one., I had to cut wet grass because it hasn't stopped raining here for a month, there were no clumps or buildup under the mower deck and the lawn looked great.

Glad to see you're happy with your new mower. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks as long as it is what you wanted. The s50xt is a very well built mower. I am also happy with mine. Those who say they don't like snapper pro mowers have most likely just never been around one. I thought about upgrading to a mower with a bigger deck next year, but the one I have now handles my lawn with ease. If I upgraded I would get done too fast.

That is my problem, I had a 30 inch walk behind, I had to do the lawn in two days, by the time I edged, string trimmed and mowed half the yard I was exhausted.
Now I edge, string trim and mow the whole yard in an hour, I found that I actually mow at about 1/2 forward speed, sometimes I mow slower so I can stay on the mower longer.
Now that fall is upon us, the grass will not grow as fast, drats!!!
The deck is what impressed me most, that mower with cut at eight mph as well as three mph.
The second thing that impressed me was the smoothness of the engine...........I'm a motor head, what can I say.

The deck cuts pretty well at 10 mph too. I can't help it. I just have to open it up every now and then. When I get a suspension seat I doubt I will slow down much. I may even remove the bolts that stop the levers from going all the way forward so I can get a little extra speed out of it.
