I will not forget to post the pictures, I have a high speed camera, my wife can take pictures of me rushing by..............Ha!Ha!
I got lights on it too, you know, for mowing at night when the urge strikes you, and also for going down to the mail box, I got a hitch to go on the back so I can tow a small de-thatcher.
Like I said before, like a kid with a new toy.................us guys never grow up, if you don't get excited about this stuff, then your life is over.

While you are at it you could get the suspension insert for the seat lol. Will have a smooth ride on your acre.

Shughes, my new Snapper will be here Monday the 8th, I should be mowing then, after the pictures of course.
It will be messy at first because of the height of the lawn, I'm expecting a lot of clippings that may smother the lawn, I need a de-thatcher.
After that I can maintain it properly.

I bet you can't wait. It is a shame you are getting your new mower at the end of the season. At least you have something to look forward to mowing next season. Thanks for keeping me posted. Let me know what you think of your new mower after using it.

Thank you for helping me with my decision, I have owned snapper mowers before and found that they were excellent mowers, so I'm pretty sure this will be no different.
I had a John Deere garden tractor that I mowed with for a number of years and it had a Kawasaki FX engine in it, that engine was flawless.
I have a troy-bilt Horse tiller that I have had for thirty years with a Briggs and Stratton engine, and I have to say there is nothing wrong with that engine either, but after having the Kawasaki, I really like that engine.
We received 7 inches of rain today and the weatherman says expect the same through Tuesday.
I'm looking for someone with a sickle mower because my grass is that high..........Ha!Ha!

As far as the end of the season, I should be mowing well into November, our days are still in the 90's with a lot of rain.
My problem is getting the grass dry enough to mow before the early afternoon rains come.
Our morning dew is so heavy it doesn't get dry enough to mow until 1:00pm then the rains usually come in about that time.

Yes, I'm excited, I had my trailer full of mulch that I had to empty, (3 yards) so I could pick up my mower on Monday.
Everything is lined up and ready to go, just waiting for that phone call.
Even if the grass quits growing I can still work on my mower skills with out actually mowing, you know I wouldn't want the cylinders to get any rust on them sitting around waiting for spring.

The great thing about these commercial mowers is that they have the power to cut wet grass. I mowed mine the day after a heavy rain because that was the only day I had free to mow. It was either do it then or wait another week. Told one of my friends I had to go home and mow and he said "you know the grass is too wet don't you?". I told him it wasn't too wet for my mower. He couldn't believe it when he came by and I had already mowed. He is now shopping for a zero turn. Lol

Won't the mower leave piles of wet grass, or will it chop it up and distribute it as if it was dry?
The reason I have gone to the commercial is the higher blade speed so that it will chop the grass fine and not need a mulch kit on it.
My grass requires mulching or collecting or it will die from being smothered...........weird stuff!
But it's pretty!
My mower came in today like they promised but it was 4:30 pm and we had 2.5 inches of rain today.
I will pick it up tomorrow and hopefully get an early start on the grass, after I figure out how to operate it, I'll do the back yard first, no one can see that, by that time maybe I will be proficient enough to mow in public.............Ha!Ha!
The water in my back yard is about 3/4 of an inch deep, should go down by tomorrow.
We haven't had this much rain in eight years............Will update tomorrow if I can get off the mower.

You will have heavy clippings if the grass is very tall. You may have to mow with the deck all the way up, and mow it again at a lower setting to reduce the amount of clippings. If you mow your lawn regularly you will see little to no clippings. Even with high lift blades you are going to have heavy clippings in tall grass.

Well, here are the pictures, Pardon the grass, I couldn't wait to mow.
You are correct, I should have done this years ago, I mowed less than half speed because I was a little confused with the controls, but the hour meter registered .7 tenths of an hour, I was wondering were all the grass went to.
I set the mower at the highest level and my cut grass was about 6 inches, I cut to put the clipping in one row then I came back and made one pass over the clippings and they were all gone, the yard was clean and perfect.
There may be mowers out there that cut and perform better than this one, but not in my book, this is the best mower I have ever had and have no regrets about spending that much on a commercial type mower.
Now I'm outside with a measuring stick waiting for the grass to grow a little so I can mow it again.
That Kawasaki FX 600V ran flawlessly.

Your mower looks great! It even has dual fuel tanks. Mine only has one 5 gallon tank, but I can still mow my lawn without refueling. You wouldn't think the fx600v would have enough power to run a deck that size, but mine will mow at full speed with no problem. Kind of surprising how much power it does have isn't it? I am glad you like your mower. It should serve you well for many years. Don't forget to take the bolts out of the front wheel casters and add grease zerks. They are greasable. I put 3 or 4 shots in mine every 10 hours or so.
