I have gone to the Webster flea market years ago....and my father well before me.
Those were in the time when collectible items could be found as old stuff people just wanted to get rid of...........
These days seems like everyone thinks their stuff is valuable........even when it isn't.

I was always taught to pass along my flea market finds to the next guy at a reasonable profit so he could do the same.
Seems to me that, when I did that, the "next guy" sold at ultra retail making a huge profit.
That kinda irked ma as it ruined the fun of getting this collectable stuff in circulation..........

And, dare I repeat myself, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY, Rog !!

How about Websters or Marion Market ??? I got ten bucks of my own money (Becky gave me an allowance - if I'm good) I'm dyin' to spend on something useless...

I've been ready to get outa the house, bad case of cabin fever, Websters is only open on Mondays I think, have to check with my boss ! anyway, we can think of something to get in trouble over, are you ALMOST through visitin your neighbors and friends in CR ?? Have you been out in your boat yet, ?? still got my phone # ?? remember my email address?? know how to PM me ?? hell we could drop off the wifey's at the marion market and go visit the mower-junkyard up the road a bit !! ..:thumbsup:

I have not launched the boat yet, as you are well aware, it's either been colder than a well diggers arse, or else it's been raining, or Both!

I'm good with visiting, all the old local neighbors have been hugged and kissed, the returning snowbirds welcomed back, stories told, pictures of projects and grandchildren shown off.. I'm ready to do something! My schedule is, 'I'm waiting on you!'

We got Stokes flea market (Tues/Wed - Wed is best) Howard's (The Dirt Mall)-(Fri/Sat/Sun - Sat/Sun is best) There's one in Brooksville we've never been to and then the ones already mentioned.. Just let me know..

See what I mean about bowing to Bert regarding world-Wide politics? He has his thumb on the pulse of humanity!

Happens when you live in a "white pimple on the brown bum of the earth" ( Prime Minister Keating ).
Because nothing much ever happens down here and because all the media went to to the same school, all the news is both repetative and mostly irrelevant.
If you are not really passionate about anything and have been properly schooled in scientific principles then you seek out answers and look at big pictures.
In the rapidly escallating "right now" journalism ( or lack of it ) most of what you see is dullards looking at this morning to explain tomorrow.
Most of what we get fed is simply press releases reworded to sound like some one actually did some more research than reading the top entry on a Google search.
You have to use memory of things from a long time back because most volcanos that errupt now started a long time ago.
Now Aust politics would never be mentioned in the USA where a dissapointingly large amount of people consider the world & USA to be interchangable terms.

Little example. While not trying to be judgemental nor political.
The USA backed the House of Saud post WII during the Arabian war to guarantee USA oil supply.
The Saudis after the take over repaid the USA by trading all oil futures through the NY Futures Exchange.
This then made the US dollar the dominant world currency, which was backed by the USA gold reserves.
Nixon over spent in Vietnam to the point that the USA gold reserves no longer covered the US dollar so he floated it to prevent bankruptcy and it went up way too high because of the oil futures and made US manufacturing uncompetative.
From that NAFTA was born, although it took a while to nut it out.
Saddam Hussein threatened to shift Iraq oil futures to the Munich futures exchange which would drastically reduce the demand for US $ and increase the demand for Euros at a time when the US had run up massive debts.
So the result was the invasion of Iraq which happened between the first & second trunch of oil futures and of course the 2nd lot got withdrawn & relisted on the NY exchange.
As for WMD's this was bull dust from the start, the USA, France & the UK had been supplying Iraq with short range weapons only ( France had been supplying both Iraq & Iran ), so the analysists knew what Saddam had got, where he got them from & when they were used. Thus WMD's were nothing more than a press release, playing upon the parranoia of Israel to ensure the very powerful Jewish lobby ( who have a major control of USA media ) would support the invasion & spread the governments spin without question.

NAH... he's a library, .. full of encyclopedias ! AND, he MUST.. have voice typing on his puter !!!

Back in the bad old days I was a part time technical writer so ended up a 75 wpm typist.
Not quite up to those speeds now days but can jot out a few lines pretty quick if I ignore spelling & grammar ( subs did that for me ).
First rule in scientific research is watch look & listen you make theories to explain what you have just found then devise tests to disprove the theory and hope they fail.
Modern media is to make a theory ( or take a position ) the find some data that you can massarge to support your ideas.
Quick, cheap & lazy which suits the modern generation to a T as most seem to have an attention span of a fly.
