Re: MTD Yardman Transaxle Rebuild
So glad to see your main objective of a new shop is to be the supreme and utmost of establishments to specialize in the re-building of MTD Yard-Man trans-axles . Knowing of your dedication to production of the highest quality products with the un-equaled attention to detail and client satisfaction, I am cynical of an offer (heard through secret sources) that your recent invitation to a former Navy Submariner ( now retired) to be the Operations Manager of your new facility is of deep grave concern to some of us. It is our consensus of opinion that you may wish to proceed to a much deeper investigation as to this parties highly questionable background, after all, surely you would not even dare to tarnish such a well respected image such as you hold, and in such high esteem. Knowing this "candidate" resides in the state of Maine, where they have more trees and rocks than grass, compels us to perceive his known compulsion to "cheap-out and "cut-corners" may prove to be an extreme liability to your aspiring endeavor, we are only wishing your greatly successful efforts will bear the fruits of your labor.
Yup, All that what you said.
In addition to rebuilding MTD Transaxles, I am going to build my home theater across the back 16' or so of the lower shop.
This is because the Woman Who Wishes to Remain Happy would not allow me to usurp 1/2 of the garage for this endeavor.
(my original HT back in Fla. was built in a converted 1 car garage...)
As the lower shop is 13 1/2' high at the outside to about 15' high or so at the junction with the upper shop, the new HT will be
constructed on an elevated platform, about 5' or so above the slab.
This will provide not only storage, but a proper facility for the office of the aforementioned Retired Navy Submariner.
As I am 6'4" tall (now, down from 6'6" from my teens thru most of my adult life....gravity is a fickle mistress...)
this area of low headroom for the altitude enhanced should make an Undersea Sailor feel right at home!
I could put up a wall of mock valves and control wheels to keep the RNS occupied during the slow repair seasons,
and can pipe in taped recordings of "Yellow Submarine" to further the experience.
Dunno,tho....this may require an "E" ticket from Disney.........
