I've been having to whine to them to get a few more properties! Apparently there is a vendor with a cap of 500 properties in my area, so he's getting most of them... would have been nice to know that lol. I've been emailing the regional coordinator and he's slowly given me a few more, I'm at around 10. Still 40 off from what I wanted but I'll take what I can get.

Is number on the invoice the money that I receive, or is that what they get?

Most of my properties are small but seem to have fences with like a 40" gate.. Good thing I still have my ole' 38" john deere tractor. I haven't even been bring my 48" zero turn to these because of all the small gates.

Man, I'm glad I'm not the guy who has to clean out the homes! Some of them are sketchy, I don't want to know what's all been in those!

I only run my 48
There is always a way to get in.
On chain link I roll a spot back and drive on in.

Man doing the trash outs is where the big money is. You get paid to remove everything then you have a yard sale.

I agree some houses are just nasty and you know they lived in them like that.

I got lucky this weekend and did a trash out. Guy had a full shop out back. My guess is after I sell everything I don't keep I will make $5000 took a day.

You get the agreed on price.
Now some will pay more if over size.
We don't change the price on the invoice sometimes they pay it.
Up your cap to 200 and sub out what you can not do. Keep $5 to $10 for yourself each yard.

I like the way you think with the fences! lol

I'll have to consider being the clean out guy! Changing the locks would be an easy job. I see there's a lot of money put into some of the properties for mold and water damage too.

Things have been going pretty good. I've done 80 cuts for safeguard so far. I might take on the whole zone next year.

The bean counters said that two of my work orders didn't have the required pictures and didn't pay me. I might dispute one because I didn't provide an address verification photo, I think just took a pic of the front of the house..? Have you ever disputed? I don't want to piss them off and go through the rest of my invoices with a find tooth comb.

Also, what do you if you arrive at a farm that's over an acre? I tried to submit a bid but I never heard anything back.. I've just been cutting 30 yards on each side of the house.

I just cut around the house. Bid the rest. Sometimes you will get to cut it all most times not.

Get on to them about paying.
I did one that was 4 foot tall forgot the after pic of the height. They said no pay. I told them can you not see it was cut.
Keep on them they will pay it

I wanted to cut for them. According to the recruiter they had 100 plus cuts in the zone I was supposed to get. The distance was too much for me and the fact that there were too many things in the contract I did not want to agree to. One thing was if we got behind we could be charged for somebody else cutting it. We were told we had to take it all and needed two crews.

I honestly think the recruiter was clueless. To start off with she told us we had to bag ALL trimmings as well.

What sucks is when you get yards that are already days late because someone else did not do them. They gave me 30 yards that was already late then sent me a email saying I had to get them done in 2 days plus still do the yards that I already had. I told them I would get to them when I could.

I took the next day off.
Ended up with 21 of my yards late by 3 days. Again got a email saying I would get a charge back. I said you charge me back any yards I won't do anymore work. 3 hours later got 16 more yards. I think I been getting a lot of yards because some guy is late all the time and sprays roundup a foot away from anything that you would trim around.

The thing is is I map out for the next 4 days then they send 20 more yards and want them done today. I just add them in if they are on the way to what I have mapped out.
In April I did 47 initial cuts they have the recuts to someone else. Send one email and they gave all the yards back saying it was a mix up.

As long as they know you are getting them done as best you can they are happy.

Just some FYI they only look at your invoice and pics if the computer kicks it back.

The thing with a yard being a hour away from home is you won't just do that one you do five going to it and five on the way back home.

And I gave up using the iPhone app

How long did it take you guys to get a response from safeguard once you filled out the application?
