We had a similar problem, left the key on. We have started taking the key out when we are done mowing. The engine just stopped, it will not crank!! nothing no clicking nothing, I did not hit anything.
had to push it to the shed now what.
It has fuel I checked the volts the other day when it was running had 13V.
Is there a cut out for the oil level?? I thought I checked it before starting and it was full.
Im going back out in the 100F weather to start t/shooting again BUT im not electrically minded.
I checked battery volts 0; its on charge.
I will put the batt back in tomorrow after a good night charge if it starts, where do I put the meter to check if the battery is charging? on the batt terminals or?
Where is the voltage regulator location I cannot find a good diagram or photo.
Thank you.
thanks for the reply with the t/s I did I could go no further do not have the tools or garage to strip and or replace. We had a similar problem, left the key on. We have started taking the key out when we are done mowing.
My lawn tractor has done that a couple times. I start taking apart the plastic molex connectors and flushing with electrical cleaner/lube, and after each one cleaned, try the starter. There's probably 6 of them on the machine and mostly are about the safety lockouts. The engine just stopped, it will not crank!! nothing no clicking nothing, I did not hit anything.

Yes on the terminals, should read 12.5 volts, fully charged. If not more. Could be any safety switch that went bad. Loose wire, keep checking all the switches. The engine just stopped, it will not crank!! nothing no clicking nothing, I did not hit anything.
