New battery this season and no charging. Was getting 40.5V from the stator so I bought a new regulator, still not charging. Turned out to be a bad ignition switch.

New to the site so saying Hello! I adopted a 1320 hydro 4 years ago. It's got pretty light duty mowing about 1/2 acre weekly in season. Ever since I got it, reverse has been suspect. Always slower and going backwards up any kind of incline at all is a no go. The owner's manual says that the hydro is sealed and must be serviced by a dealer. I've searched the web and can't find anywhere where this issue is addressed. I'm looking for some easy checks to do before I just dive into it. It still operates, just reverse is nearing unuseable. Any tips appreciated. Tom Hilmes

A hydro is made to go the same speed in both directions.
Try adjusting the linkage.

Re: Cub Cadet Owner Check-In --- At last

I am so glad to find this forum. I have a Cub Cadet LGT1054 and mow little over 2 acres. For the past week I have been looking for an answer to my question all over the internet. While changing the belt on my machine, a small spring came from somewhere and dangled from the PTO. It mocked me as I tried to figure out just where it went. No help from the Cub Cadet manuals. Found the answer on one of your posts and a big THANKS to the fellow in Michigan that gave his response to the problem. I enrolled and will use the forum as another resource in my fight against the grasses.

Hey, my lawnmower is a cub cadet 2135, almost all original, never had the engine taken apart, never had any transmission repairs, all original tires except one which i replaced today and found it was almost completely filled with fix-a-flat, I call it the "Ghetto-mobile JR", it has 656 hours on it, original blades, the only real problem is rust because it's been left outside for all its life but no rust holes just surface rust, I bought it from my best friends dad for $150 and my SNES, when I got it it had water in the gas and it was a pain to get it drained, had to take off the deck, but after that a new battery was slapped in and then it lasted for about 3 months until a ball joint went out while mowing, hasn't needed much work since besides taking most the nuts off the bolts and applying lock-tight to prevent catastrophes.
