Anybody know why my Hustler's starter will engage sometimes and just clicks others? Have replaced starter and still does same thing. Have to keep bumping to engage.

Kohler cv20 had intake valve seat come out of position. See in B&S manual you are able to ping seat back into place. Does anybody know if this is possible on Kohler heads??

Rebuilding an older K161 and it will only spark once in about five pulls. It has new points and condenser. Can coil be causing the problem? I thought they either worked or didn't.

Recently was removing flywheel off of Kohler K161 and broke threaded end of crankshaft. (Hindsight have purchased puller). Drilled through broken piece and into shaft and installed pin, and then welded. Appeared to work, but when engine was started, weld didn't hold. Any hope, or is crank junk?

Is there a way to tell difference between K161 and K181 is no numbers are left on engine? Thanks

Recently rebuilt 24 hp Kohler. Will start and run fine, then one of the plugs (which are new) loose spark. Thought it might be a coil breaking down so they were switched but the problem stayed on the original side. Any direction would be appreciated.
