In process of replacing leaking fuel tank on John Deere 115. When removing fender unit, spring came loose and unable to find a home for it. Service manual not much help. Believe it may be associated with parking brake. I think part number is GX21977, however, diagram does not give location of application. Pic attached.,

Update... It does not belong to parking brake but looks like a return spring for brake peddle.. Have found wear marks on peddle hardware that matches marks on spring. However, unable to find where other end of spring attaches.

There seems to be only one spring on the brake shaft and it says to.... 8. Connect spring (D) into hole (E) in fenderdeck and brake arm.

Got it... Was looking on frame instead of fender deck.. Found the hole there to connect other end of spring..

Thanks a million
