This doesn't seem like a good idea to me

According to this source you could be have over 1,000 pounds of leaves in that bag.

This doesn't seem like a good idea to me

They can get pretty heavy if they're not dry, and there's likely to be grass in there as well. Dragging is way more strain on the machine than pulling something on wheels.

This doesn't seem like a good idea to me

Dragging this bag around seems like a great way to overheat and destroy transmissions. https://www.sensefabulous.com/products/leaf-bag

    Cheap Damper Replacement ?

BTW the typical symptom of a bad damper is that it makes a skilled operator look like they have no idea how to operate the machine. It becomes very jerky and hard to control.

    Craftsman z6000 blade swap...

If I have a blade that gets stuck badly I change the bolt. Once that happens it tends to happen again because the bolt gets damaged. If you look at the threads under magnification you will likely see jagged edges - chatter marks I call them.

Mower starts, idles down and stalls with new air filter, but runs with old one.

Running too lean - not enough fuel. So with a dirty filter you're getting less air, creating a mixture that will burn. Clean filter too much air and not enough fuel. What did the plug electrode look like that you removed? White? It was probably running lean before but not so lean that it...

I don't want to comment further on the thread about ZTRs and towing, especially since the OP has said he won't be towing. I've seen all sorts of recommendations for towing from none for small machines with light-duty transmissions all the way up to 2,000 pounds. I agree that you need to follow...

Tufftorq vs. Hydro-gear (again) - My convo with Tufftorq - comments?

One thing that I don't think has come up is ride quality. ZTRs tend to give a very stiff ride unless you go with one with some sort of system. You can add a suspension seat base if it doesn't have a suspension seat, which at your price point it almost certainly won't.

Tufftorq vs. Hydro-gear (again) - My convo with Tufftorq - comments?

We've had this disagreement before. You CAN haul/tow with a ZT mower and some manufacturers make this clear in their manuals. It's a matter of weight and duration. If you're hauling a load of firewood or wood mulch in a cart or dragging some brush a couple hundred feet across your yard...

Tufftorq vs. Hydro-gear (again) - My convo with Tufftorq - comments?

For a flat property with a lawn that size you'll probably be fine with the 2200 EZT. Heat is the big killer of hydro transmissions and you're not going to be running it for long intervals on a lawn that size. But if you're going to be hauling heavy loads in a cart, you weight 400 pounds or...

    Cheap Damper Replacement ?

Dampers aren't exactly expensive. Personally I would just buy a set of new OEM ones.

    leaving a streak

Where is this uncut grass? does it change position depending on which way you turn? So it's on sharp turns I take it? What you can do is cut 2 or 3 laps around the perimeter doing gradual turns, if that's possible, and then mow straight back and forth on the inner portions of the lawn, using...

Trying to decide on used Honda's - Which to get?

Just curious why they're all baggers? I've got both a $1,200 Master's Series HR215KHMA that bags and mulches and a $400 Harmony II HRS2162SDA that mulches and discharges and if I had to pick one it would actually be the 216 due to the ability to discharge from the side without a wacky adapter...

    Help deciding on weedeater

I have to say that I agree about that. Echo replaced both the straps and tube assembly on my 8010 blower without issue and the Shindaiwa blowers and multi-tool power heads I bought in 2002 have been very long-lived and trouble free.

    Help deciding on weedeater

I've been running a 525 LS commercially for a few years and I really like it. Good power, weight balance and vibration control. It's been very reliable except that I did lose the gearbox last year, but that could be my fault - I never bother to add grease to them..

Should we get a PH testing for turning the the lawns into brown?

Not enough info on why it turned brown. Brown grass in the summer is usually due to not enough water and/or being cut too short.

Congratulations. Those are nice mowers! Gator G5 mulching blades while discharging are my blades of choice most of the time. New Husqvarna 550 XP Chainsaw

Wow, love my new 550 XP! I'm a landscaper and the owner of a large wooded property. I used the damage caused by Isaisas last week as a reason (excuse) to buy a new pro saw. I've got a 1998 55 Rancher with an 18 inch bar and it's a good saw but it's a bit heavy to sling around for hours at a...

Stihl FS46C Trimmer Easy2Start Parts Help Please

Hi. I recently acquired a non-running Stihl FS46C trimmer from one of my lawn care customers. I have no use for it but my son recently moved into a hillside cottage that has steep slopes and he said he could use it as all they have there now is a corded electric trimmer. So I dropped it and the...

    Budget zero turn help

The transmission on the Quest is much better. The issue with the budget zero turn mowers is that the 2100/2200 transmissions fail and are too costly to repair/replace given the residual value of the machine. Thus they are essentially throw-away mowers.

I usually get my parts from my dealer to support them, but I'm a professional and feel that I get better treatment that way - relationship building deal. I only have experience with my Exmark Turf Tracer that I still have and my Lazer Z HP that I sold last year with Tri-Vantage decks. Both air-cooled Kawasaki V Twin engines with no issues. I've never had a Kohler or liquid-cooled Kawasaki so I'm not really qualified to comment.

Echo's New PB 8010 Backpack Blower

Big thumbs up to Echo. They had a recall on the straps due to stitching coming undone. Mine were fine with 300 hours on the machine but they replaced them anyway. Hitch for Scag

Just order a bolt-on hitch or fabricate one. You shouldn't need front weights for those implements. I had an Exmark and now a Bob-Cat zero turn, not Scag, but same deal with them. Just stay within the weight recommendations so you don't overheat the transmission. Mostly a concern with the...

Anyone own or have used husqvarna 525ls or 535ls

Yeah the handle is nice but still feels firm during use. I probably didn't adjust the carb bit not sure. Never put a tach on it. Overall I think I actually like my old Husqvarna 323 better because it's so light and easier to use one handed. Those are out of production. The 525 is still pretty...

Anyone own or have used husqvarna 525ls or 535ls

I have been running a 525 LS for 2 or 3 years professionally and really like it. The weight and balance are good, it starts and runs as it should and the anti-vibration on the right handle is a nice plus. Power is good for routine weekly or every-other-week trimming. I haven't really used it for...

That Toro has the Hydro-Gear ZT-2100 transmission. I'd recommend going with a unit with the heavier duty ZT-2200 (EZT) instead. The Cub does have the ZT-2200 (EZT) transmission.

    BR600 back to top performance!

My landscaper buddies who run Stihl 4 stroke blowers pay close attention to the plastic timing gear while they're adjusting the valves and replace it if there is any sign of wear/age potentially causing it to fail. They have a habit of getting brittle and failing.

    Kobalt Battery Mower Safety Key

I think you'll find that there is a general reluctance by forum member to advise people how to defeat safety features on equipment. Having Trouble Picking a John Deere Model

I've never operated one but I've seen them in operation plenty of times. There are smaller ones that will do the job too. The Husqvarna 570 and 580 are a step down yet still very capable.
