    Broke my mower, dang!

@GearHead36 Exactlyyy. Well said. That's my only problem with Electric equipment. Luckily Oregon doesn't force us to buy electric... Yet. I personally have several cordless drills, impacts, etc. And they get the job done great. I haven't tried a cordless blower or mower yet but I don't have high...

    Need a bagger for a DGT6000 or DYT4000

I have a two bin bagger for your DYT 4000. Near perfect condition. This bagger would work on both tractors but you might need a lower chute for your 48". The opening is a little bit bigger on the 48 AFAIK. Upload some pics of the deck discharge area and a photo of the rear of each tractor. Where...

    Automatic Compression Release

Yeah, I know a lot about that transmission. I actually just finished swapping my plastic transmission for metal hydrostatic transmission. Alright, so I was having trouble with the pedals sticking, like it would go forward but when I press reverse, it was rock hard. It also would go into neutral...

    Automatic Compression Release

I have only seen ACRs on Vtwins newer than 2018 I think. I know for a fact that yours does NOT have it. These Briggs Vtwins always have high compression. I say replace starter and battery and clean the Battery cable ends and the starter mounting surface with a wire brush.

    Engine Sputtering/Backfiring

No, you cannot adjust the mixture on most carburetors due to emissions regulations. They are set from the factory. I suggest taking the old carb apart and thoroughly cleaning it.

@GearHead36 It's lawn tractors all day for me. They are much easier to work on and small GTs like my husky GT48XLSi with a ✨servicable✨K66 are a Beast on my hills. The hills at my house are so steep, I'll have to upload a pic sometime, but cheap hydros don't last long on my slopes.

I would say bad rings or head gasket. Does it smoke at all? It might be really faint and hard to see, so you could shine a flashlight next to the exhaust to see it better. Also check that your choke butterfly is open all the way 😉

Honda hr214 runs away every time it’s started

Ok, it the gov is adjusted, that's a bad internal governor. Also, what color is the smoke? Blue is burning oil, black means it's running rich and the carb probably needs to be cleaned and adjusted.

    Changing Transaxle Oil

We need more information. Changing the fluid could either be beneficial or could reduce the life, but it depends. Age, brand, wear and condition, what do you use it for, etc. Its quite a bit of work for what it's worth.
