I did it, made a plug from a connector block, used a wire to complete the connection loop. Charging at 14.5V. Saved $68. Cost $9.

That looks pretty interesting, but it works and that's what counts Now you need to take a little clear silicone and seal up all the exposed connections to prevent dirt and moisture from creeping in and ruining your progress.

I take it that the twisted rear wire is just a retainer. Is that correct?
