I agree about leaving the bearing alone on his spindles. But if he is the type of person that thinks grease fitting are better it can be done. My neighbor the 86 year old farmer next door to me thinks if its a bearing it needs a grease fitting and no changing his mine right or wrong.

And this is how I felt so I put zerks on everything.

Dredging sand out of the river I learned that every day you grease everything a bearing going out on a 10 inch pump shaft will cost you two days to replace it and about $300 for the bearing.
So in my mind if it has a bearing load it up with grease

I am going to get him to join here so we can pick his brain on bearings. He is a young guy in his late 20s but all he knows is bearings.

Now if I can just find a oil expert and put that on going fight to rest.

Dredging sand out of the river has to be lot like running a ATV hub under mud and water. It is working for my ATV.
