Re: MTD Yardman Transaxle Rebuild

So, I purchased a 4.3 cu.ft. fridge from Lowe's. When I got it home I found that it had been dropped along the rear bottom edge, deforming both side panels. Though It still worked, I requested a replacement, Beofre delivery, I had requested that they inspect the unit. When the delivery driver called to say he was coming, I inquired about the inspection. They had NOT inspected it! When he called again, he said that the second one (and third, and fourth) one was dented as well, but they found a good one. So, upon delivery, MY inspection found a full length crease in the back panel, and the "floor" of the fridge above the compressor was badly deformed. So, I rejected it! I am waiting for further input from Lowe's........

Re: RUGER 10/22

Any of you guys own a Ruger 10/22?
Just wondering if any of you guys have any experience with them?

Roger

I own 2 or 3 (can't remember) but have never shot them................
I also have a
Mini 14 that I have not fired. I haven't heard anything abut the trigger in those,
other than there is a trigger for the Mini 14 which fires a round when pulled, then fires another round when released.
Pretty rapid rate of fire..........

Just goes to show you can hire an idiot to load stock, or deliver stock, or even just move stock around, but you can't keep him from denting the schitt out of it!!

Ron,

I strongly suggest that you break out your unfired 10/22's and shoot them! Worse trigger pull I have ever experienced in any rifle! The take up feels like it is never going to end and the "break" (if you can call it that) is like bending a green stick.

There are a number of aftermarket drop-in trigger assemblies, the problem being most of them cost as much as the gun itself did! (Well over $200!!) Oddly enough Ruger makes it's own replacement - (that's sort of like admitting that you made a P.O.S. for the original, isn't it?) - and the MSRP is $89.99. I ordered one off eBay for $61 and change.. I had already ordered a Ruger BX-25 magazine for the gun and that is also made by Ruger and works slick as can be. The Ruger BX-10/22 trigger assembly has decent reviews, so I thought I'd take the chance. I'll let you know what I think after I've installed it and tried it out.

When I worked for Lowes 30 years ago we had way more trouble with the trucks than the stock boys. They would come in with the load no longer stacked in the truck. Took hours to unload a truck by hand.

Well late last nite, my email took a schitt !! gettin messages, from the SERVER that it's not receiving because the inbox is over their limits, I'm showing 7 messages with NO attachments, and my folders are out of order and even have triplicates of the same folders. First BIG issue is this POS keyboard that came with the puter, REAL @&#@##$@(% GARBAGE !! Have to use a hammer to press the keys, impossible to see the letters & symbols on the keys, Ahhhhh well, time for a better keyboard already !! Now I'm wondering how long the puter will last ?? At least I can get by with the puter, but I have a year's worth of reading to do to learn how to change this WIN 10 machine to my liking, I should be happy with a newputer BUT this whole set-up is nothing but a headache!!! WEll enough of my bitchin.... for NOW !! ... ( LOL )

As every $10,000 suit wearing executive knows any old moron can drive a truck & trolly stock so they pay a rate consumerate with any old moron and get a moron.
There was an old joke about a welder who went looking for a job.
He saw a sign welders wanted $ 10 - $ 50 / hr so he applied for the job.
They gave him a test billet which he welded quickly and text book perfect so he got hired and told his starting rate was going to be $ 10 /hr
So on the job he did the welds very quickly but they all were garbage welds with under cuts & blow holes which got rejected.
The manager came down to see what was wrong with his new welder .
He challenged the welder asking why he welded perfectly yesterday on the test billets but today his welds were all scrap.
The reply "Yesterday I showed you my $ 50/hr welding but today you got my $ 10/hr welding, if you want $ 50/ hr welding you will need to pay me $ 50/hr"

One of the foundries I ran had a board member who believed that "HE' made all of the companies profits with his great wheeling & dealings so he was worth a massive bonus at the end of a very successful year and the workers should be grateful they had a job. So I relayed this message to the workers when they were asking about why there was no christmas bonuses when they all knew we had a bumper year.
So they walked off the job & refused to come back till they got paid a bonus comensurate with the efforts they put in over the year & that director was terminated.
He convinced the owners to sack all of the shop staff because they were just ignorant foundry men so easily replaced.
Almost all of them went over to the companies direct competitor and I walked out as well as I knew just how skilled the workforce was.
The foundry struggled on for another 3 to 4 years till finally deeply in debt the banks forclosed when the debt got to the value of the land.
The director never learned his lesson and went on send several more factories bankrupt till eventually one of the business owners went on a rampage & shot him, his wife & their 3 children before burning down their house.
