Ya just can't beat having a large shop, a rotary hammer drill, a palm nailer and a big honkin' air compressor!

If that is Kate Upton I really don't think it wise for anyone to mess with her. Her husband(that means she is MARRIED there Boo) Justin Verlander is 6'5 and throws a high 95+ mph fast ball for the Houston Astros. If that is not Kate that bang away my friends. ;-)

Just west of Nacogdoches about 30 miles, we grow pine trees. The pastures is just open fields as we don't raise livestock, had about a dozen apple, peach and pear trees but age and drought killed them off the past few years.

Story about the cities of Nacogdoches Texas and Natchitoches,Louisiana is that the Chief of the Caddo Indian Tribe had two sons who had grown up and needed to move out of the village and start their own. The Chief told one son "you walk two days towards the setting son and start a village and to the other son he said you walk two day to the raising son and there is where your village will be. Now each year Stephan F. Austin State University (my college) in Nacogdoches plays football with Northwestern State University from Natchitoches,Louisiana for a large wooden Indian named Chief Caddo. Other then that we just enjoy the place.

Tom,

I was glad to see they included a reason for the two very similar names. I like persimmons, but never had paw-paws.

Re: For Ron

My friend and I were nailing the last of the decking yesterday when he fan out of nails for his nailer.
So, we went to his house to pick up more and stopped by the hardware store to pick up a bit for the new rotary hammer.
I was expecting delivery later in the day.
To my surprise, it had been delivered while we were out!
So, opened it, popped in the bit, set the depth gauge and went to drillin'...
All's I gotta say is/................. "WOW!"

I think the concrete shivered at the sight of the Bosch, cuz it was like drilling into BUTTER !!!

We used red heads in the holes,
I made angle braces from 3 x 3 x 3/16" angle iron and drilled holes in each leg.
Fastened to the posts with lag screws.
That floor ain't goin' nowhere!!

Funny thing is, while at the hardware store yesterday, I saw a well used Bosch, same one as I bought, on the
shelf right below the bits.
That drill is a rental, and I coulda rented ot for $20,00/day!!
And we had purchased bits at the same store last week.
It was either rented out last week or I just didn't see it...
Oh,well, I bought mine for $109.00 shipped, and now I own it.
I'm sure I could get my $$$$ out of it if I wanna sell it...........

Ron,

Glad to hear it worked well.. What are "Red Heads", certainly not the red plastic anchors the term brought to my mind!

I was using a two wheeler with the washer on it pulling it up on to my trailer. Got my feet on a trailer but not the washer all of a sudden I felt my feet slipping so I stopped. As soon as I stopped both my feet went out from underneath me and the washing machine landed on top of me. And that point me and the washing machine were sliding down the ramp. As fast as I can find something to grab onto I did and I kept the washing machine from sliding off but it hurt me something awful. Life goes on I'm kind of used to having my back go out on me every once in a while I've been having this problem since I was 16 years old. Some arsehole driving 60 miles an hour hit me when I was getting ready to make a left. He totaled my car and had 0 insurance. I've been dealing with this for a long time.

Chuck,

Sorry to hear that! My Dad and I used to sell "white goods" (appliances) and I still have the heavy duty appliance dolly we used some 50 years ago. We sold Westinghouse Laundromats (the original front loader washers) and they weighed 386 pounds due to the counter balance weight inside. I used to dread hauling them upstairs in any house. But fortunately I never had one fall on me!

Hope your back gets better soon!

Re: Hi Old Silver.......(Buy Old Silver)

So, I called the # in the ad and asked how much silver one would get for their $59.00. THE LADY DID NOT KNOW !! So, I asked ir it would be 1 bar and she said yes. I said like the one pictured? She again confirmed. So, I told her the bar in the pic was 1 Troy ounce. That is $15.00 worth of silver at today's market price. She said "but it is embossed..." So I asked if that made it worth 4x the value of the metal. She said it did "to some people." I said some people were IDIOTS, and wished her a nice day. GEEEEEEZZZZZZZZ

Ron,

You know for a 'busy' sort of guy, you still have far too much time on your hands! LOL
