Wow are you lost  I'm not a hillbilly thank you, and after being and living in Florida for the last 44 yrs I don't consider myself a yankee no matter where I was born.

We call people who live in Florida southern Yankees. Due to none of them really being from the south.

Just wondering. You talk about being from the Appalachian mountains.if you think Kentucky and Tennessee are Yankee states then you need a history lesson. Lol

The Appalachian mountain range runs all the way to Canada so why you would think I'm from hillbilly country is somewhat confusing :confused2: and yes to me your a Yankee. Your a foreigner  or fureigner as we'd say

People who are born and raised north of the Mason-Dixon Line and move south are Yankees no matter how long they have lived in the south. I misunderstood you earlier. I thought you were from Kentucky. The only thing even remotely Yankee about my family is both of my brothers married Yankees.

Come on guys, don't get upset at each other we have the same interests and that is ZTM, When you get into the higher levels of mowers I believe they will all do what you need without breaking down every week.

I lived in west NY in the foot hills of the Allegheny mountains in a Seneca village called Allegany from 1946 to 1957, I have lived in Florida for 57 years.
As far as hills we have some pretty darn big ones in the center of the state, and if you don't think so, I guarantee you wouldn't live if you stepped off of one.

Ric, I'm sorry you are in a bad mood, Hughes717 did not say anything derogatory toward what you were saying he was actually agreeing with you, I think you just took it wrong, I have to agree he is a little head strong about this estate vs commercial thing even though Snapper says it's a commercial mower, we know it is, anyone else can call it what they like, Gee Whiz! I have been called a lot of different things in my life...Ha!Ha!, but I am still me, c'mon guys have a beer and chill.

Lets face it, any company will do what is needed, within the law, to sell their product, if they didn't they would have been out of business a long time ago.
but singling out one manufacturer is not right, they all do it!
I hope I didn't hurt any feelings, just trying to light the peace pipe.

I will be quiet now!!!!!!!.............Ron

LoCo86, According to the Florida historical folks, I'm from NY, but have lived here over a half century, so I'm considered a Florida native, I'm actually a Florida Cracker according to the natives in this area.
If anyone wants to get really knitpickin, all you non-native Americans are foreigners.

I'm not in a bad mood, I'm just picking on Shughes 717 and I think he's doing the same to me, I don't think he is mad or in a bad mood. I don't think either one of us are taking each other seriously at least I'm not. If he really knew where I am and where I was born he mite be surprised. As far as the Estate mower thing goes, that's Bush Hog name for there mower like the Z Master is Toro's name for there commercial mower it's not what it is. I wish I could have a beer but the doc says No No.

Ric is exactly right. I'm having fun as well. I don't think he is being serious. I consider it just playful banter. I respect Ric a lot. Yes we have some different opinions, but not as many as people think. As I mentioned earlier. The semi commercial/ estate/low end commercial thing must be regional. That's just what they are called in my neck of the woods. I would have no problem using a s50xt in a business to mow several lawns that average < 1 acre each and I think that is what they are designed for. The only other different opinions Ric and I have is our opinions on snapper pro and ferris mowers. Other than that I seldom disagree with what he posts.

Sorry Guys it just sounded like it was getting out of hand, and I didn't want to be partly responsible for the clash.

Ric, NO BEER!!!!! how do you manage......Ha!Ha!

My doc says I can't have any coffee, for some people that could be just as bad, actually I can have only one beer a day, man it's hell getting old.

Ric, Hughes717, I live in Mims, FL. it was a little town with one caution light it didn't rate a full fledged traffic light, it has increased in size a little but not as much as expected in the last sixty years, the folks want to keep the so called progress out, there are a lot of rednecks or good old boys as some refer to us in this area, we hunt, fish, mud bog, airboats, ride horses, raise crops and a lot of different farm animals especially horses and cattle.
We bow and black powder hunt, I don't do much hunting anymore, just target shooting.

Do you guys enjoy the same stuff.

Oh yeah, though I don't hunt much these days with three small kids. My oldest daughter is showing interest in it though, so I may get to pick it back up. I hope she wants to duck hunt, because that was one of my favorite sports. I shot my bow so much in college that I frayed the limbs. Hoyt replaced them for free thankfully. I sold my bow several years ago when money got tight and I needed to get my wife a Christmas gift. Always said I would get another one, but haven't done it yet. I haven't gone mudding since I was a kid, but I still help my dad on his farm, so I get to play in the mud from time to time it's just on a mfwd john deere tractor. We also raise Piedmontese cattle and have a few quarter horses. I have never been on an air boat, but I have always wanted to ride on one. Spent many summers on the Tennessee river on boats and jet skis. My grandparents used to own a cabin there. One of my favorite places on earth. I hope I can afford a place there one day. Of all the states not named tennessee I have visited, Florida is my favorite. I can see why so many people move down there. I had an opportunity to work for marine patrol out of college, but I wanted to be a wildlife officer in Tennessee. Took a job at a police department to get post certified so I had a better shot to work for Twra, but found that I have a knack for police work. I enjoy what I do, but sometimes wonder what would have been had I took the job with marine patrol.
