That's what I figured. I mentioned something to the recruiter and she said "there's always something to be cut!"

Carscw, the grass hasn't started growing up here in the frozen tunrda. They still want me to start this week. What do you recommend I do if I arrive at a property and the grass is under 2.5 inches?

Cut it.

If I get to a yard and the guy next door cut it down to half a inch I cut it.

As long as you have pics of you mowing all 4 sides of the house your good.

When it's short is a good time to stripe it out.

I got a initial cut weeds was over my head. Destroyed a new set of blades. Did not bend them but took some good chunks out of them. Left them on and did 23 more initial cuts.

I hit one rock was the size of a softball I bet it went 50 feet. Wrapped a blanket around the blades.
Most times when I get a yard like that I will ride the yard with the blades off to lay the grass down.

Here are two from today

Can't make them all look perfect just a lot better.

My old husqvarna 2448 has been working hard.

I bet you made some good $! I'll probably take them up on the rental equipment deal if I ever get an initial cut with saplings. Do you just use your husqvarna 2448 for initial cuts?

All I have been using this year is the husqvarna it's tough I chop up saplings mulch bush/shrub clippings hit rocks and other things then go stripe a nice yard with it.

Going to give the snapper walk behind a try next week.

I just got my vendor page. It doesn't have any work orders, should I call them or did yours take a couple days?

It will take a couple days. Maybe get one or two then bang when you think you have a day off 50 orders come in.

I still have 25 due tomorrow. All initial cuts and it's raining so sitting home.

You'll be busy! Lets say you have a thunderstorm tomorrow, you just call your regional coordinator and give them the date you'll complete them, right?

I've got some conference call I have to attend tomorrow or Thursday.

You will get yards after the webinar.
You can go into vender web and change the due date on orders you get If it's raining or bad storms.

I dealt with the recruiter. Then I finally got her to contact me back after I had been advertising like crazy and pickd up more work. I decided I am not going to take the Safegurad work. I tried hard to get it but if I took it now I would be a month behind. I would have to drive 90 plus miles to cut some of the grass and it is more grass than I can manage with the clientele I now already have. $35 for up to an acre 90 miles from home and the possibility of being charged back if we get behind and they have to pay for an emergency cut to catch up is a little too much for me. I would like to have 100 to 125 cuts a month. The recruiter told me up from that the zone we are in would have over 200 cuts a month. We already are getting close to 75 or 80. I think I am going to keep advertising and work closer to home.

It was a hard decision for me to pass on but I did not want to bite off more than I could chew. As far as we would have to drive I finally decided not to take it. I might apply again next year.
