Hey Jekjr I'm curious if you've heard from safeguard. It never crossed my mind until I read your post that this company existed. But Iike others have said , I've read a lot of bad reviews online.

The thing with reviews is people do not think to write one if they don't have something bad to say.

Out of all the property preservation company's out there Safegaurd is just about the best

I still have not heard anything else. I do believe they are a good company. Just not had success with the recruiter assigned to me.

I sure would like to go to work with them.

How does the pay/bidding work for Safeguard? Is it a standard fee for mowing every yard that's under one acre as long as the grass is under a foot high? Like $30 a yard and you bid if the property is over an acre.

Carcw mentioned that they chipped in for gas, did you have to ask for that?

One set price for up to a acre a foot tall.
Then a set price for every foot over the first foot.
They did not chip in for gas. What they did was pay me more per yard because I had a few yards that took a hour to get to.
I refused to do the yards because of the drive time so they paid me more to justify the drive.

Any thing over a acre you bid on.
I never cut a full acre. I cut no more then 100 feet from the house.
They now have a iPhone app you take the pics with your phone and they upload to the work order. So no more going home and uploading them to your PC then to the vender web. Save many hours of invoicing.

I just wish I could get to work with them. All I get is "I will tell the recruiter to contact you". But she does not call or e mail.

Thanks for clearing that up, Carscw. That app sounds like a good idea. I know what you mean about the drive time. The zone they offered me was a 3 hour drive from side to side. If one yard was an hour out of they way like you mentioned, it would be $25+ in vehicle gas. I would guess the standard mowing rate is around $30? Other than the huge zone it seems like a good opportunity.

I would guess that they already have a subcontractor for your area. The less people on their payroll the easier it is for them. You could maybe ask them for the subcontractors contact information to see if they need help.
