What he called a shifter is the deck lift lever.

Reminded me of a 69 Camaro!

:confused2: This might a long shot from left field but here it goes.

To me it looks like a Jacobsen Fairway mower that someone has converted to look like a "tractor style" mower.

It looks like that the person took the stearing sector, seat assembly, and dash works and reversed them around. They then changed the hood design so the operator could see the operations of the front cutter, and to make it look more like a tractor.

If you look at the simuliars between the two attachments. The positions of the wheels. The size of tire and number bolt pattern. And the color of it does match.

The part that confuses me is the direction of travel that a golf course deck enter the grass being cut??? But the decks coud have been switched from side to side????

:confused2: :confused2: What do you guys think????? :confused2: :confused2:

When first looked at the pics was thinking everything is backwards.

Here is one that could be difficult to guess the name brand of. Fire away some brands and maybe you can name that mower!

That would be a MTD 990.

You are correct it is a 990 manufactured by MTD for another name brand just like Farm King or JC Penney. Name that brand which was decaled on the sides of the hood and between the headlites. This one pictured was beautifully restored to as it was originally sold except for maybe the seat cover and brush guard were added.
