Kohler Engines ch26s on a toro 74240 (year 2001) magnets in fly wheel

this is the second time i have had to replace this flywheel !
the first time was in 2015 and the magnets were destroyed a lone with the stator. kohler said they were having trouble with there glue.
this time the magnets just came off and were stuck to the stator .
i believe it has a 25 amp stator, (efi) and the ch26 maul states the ohm reading should be .20 ohms and when i read mine with an digital ohm meter i get .40 ohms .
to ground nothing on each wire.
is .40 ohms ok ?

and isn't there anyone redoing these flywheels ?

You don't have zero and you don't have infinity so I wouldn't be concerned with 0.40. I'd also check continuity from each stator lead to ground just to be sure.

With all the magnets being stuck to the stator they obviously didn't come off while it was running or you would have had the same issue as before. Have you ever used an air or electric impact on either the pto or flywheel side fasteners?

As far as anyone redoing these flywheels I'm not sure I understand the question.

I have repaired a few flywheels. The magnets come off on their own. No impact wrench needed.

i have checked each lead to ground and it was zero. no reading to ground or the housing of the stator .i have never used an in packed, on this engine. only hand tools.

i have one magnet that is broke in half, so regluing them back in might not work for me. also not all the magnets are the same seems to be 3 shorter than the other three .check links in the above post.

I have glued broken magnets to the flywheel. Usually there are two longer magnets. They go next to each other. Be careful to observe polarity and clean any old glue off magnets and flywheel. I use JB weld to put them back on.

there are so many different kinds of JB weld i need to buy ? do you use the two part clear ?

I have glued broken magnets to the flywheel. Usually there are two longer magnets. They go next to each other. Be careful to observe polarity and clean any old glue off magnets and flywheel. I use JB weld to put them back on.

Surface of flywheel needs to be prepped and cleaned where magnets are glued with JB Weld. Magnets must be placed in correct order and spacing. I have successfully repaired loose magnets to flywheel more than once, and repair has held.

after calling parts tree they gave me the number kohler and after going through the auto system it gave me the address to a local dealer, so i called them and they could not tell me, so they are calling kohler and i'm on hold lol
this is a mess this morning . i called parts tree they list two different Rectifier-Regulator
