Give us an update if you want I'm curious what you think of the Exmark.Ended up buying the mower for 125.00 I hope it all works out good guy says it has a bbc but I don't think it does

I'll finish up my part. The guy brought the trailer over but he only brought the two Exmarks mowers. I wanted him to lower the price since he didn't bring the Snapper. We talked for a while trying to make a deal but he wouldn't budge from the price. Finally I decided it was still too good to pass up but by then he'd talked himself into keeping the trailer. I wish now I'd just gone ahead and paid him the money and put the trailer in the driveway :frown:
I bought the mowers though. The 26 is a good mower. I cut a couple of lawns with it. I wasn't impressed enough to keep it though. The 21 I'm keeping. I haven't owned a lot of high end mowers but I love this mower. It definitely is my favorite mower so far.
I don't know if you ever had one before but I think you'll like it. You mentioned a blade brake... did it have one? Mine does but I'm not sure I care much.I have to get some stuff for it it's kinda rough only paid 125.00 for it but it needs bushings wheels and cables ect. But exmark holds value so it's worth getting up and going
It was a tossup between selling the exmark 26 and the BOP 36. The BOP is really a good mower but nobody here knows what a BOP mower is so I didn't think it would be an easy sell.I would have bought the exmark 26 I love those things I have two I like them better than this 21 I bought
Well here's a update on the exmark commercial 21 I decided to mess with it and fired up the wood burner first problem was the guard that's under the recoil was scratching the metal cover it was rubbing so I bend it back and it stopped I sprayed starting fluid in it and it fired so I was pretty happy I flipped the mower over and took a hold of the blade and discovered that the shaft of the engine moves me first thought is oh no that's not good and so long story short I thought I could rebuild the engine and put new bearings in it an i would be fine the block of the engine was messed up there is no bearings so I really paid 125.00 for a frame because the wheels and bushings ect all need to be replaced and on top of that a engine It did not have a blade clutch it was a Kawasaki fj180 I think any body know a replacement engine for this mower?!?!?
Damn... that's not good. Buying used is always a gamble. You have to develop a sense of which gambles are worth risking. That Honda I bought w/ the Ryobi... that was only a $50 risk and I knew the parts were worth more than that. And no I've never had a commercial 21 but so far I'm not happy at all with this one I think a bought someone's wore out peace of crap If u know what I mean
