;) If I don't take it and I probably won't, I'd be glad to pass the number on to you. I'd love to have a trailer that size and set up like that but things are really iffy right now. If I did buy it the Snapper and maybe the Exmark 21" would be up for sale ASAP. The 21" exmark has a Honda engine instead of a Kawasaki.
Do the racks come with the trailer?
Everything except the lawn equipment not mentioned is included. Be nice if he'd toss in one of the blowers ;) He's got his eye on a bigger trailer.

I have two exmark mowers just like that. there pretty reliable mowers as far as what he wants for all of it it seems a little steep that's just my opinion.

Prices tend to be steep around here. There was a CL ad last week with some great bargains but that only happens rarely here. I suppose there are so many people in the lawn care business here that it's easy to sell things at higher prices. Demand>supply?

It looks like "Kawasaki" on the shroud of that Snapper. I thought Snapper used Briggs engines?

Sounds like a steal to me ;) I think I counted 6 Stihl blowers, two Stihl trimmers, 3 hedgers and a chainsaw. I'd have gone for that even if I'd had to rebuild the carb and replace fuel lines on every piece. Sucks that he did that. Some people just don't value their word or their conscience.

I'll jump in on this conversation. That's a great deal! I would love to buy that! I wasn't a fan of the Exmark Metro 26, but it would be worth it for that price!

It does suck when that happens, but he didn't know if he ( the buyer) was really going to show. I have had some stuff for sell on CL and people say that they will be there to get it after work and never show and not answer their phone when you try to call. So my policy is the first one to put cash in my hands gets the merchandise.

I agree 100% I do same thing. Cash the universal language.

The kawi engine is worth 100 non running I think 200 is a good price... If I were.selling I wouldn't take less than 175

Give us an update if you want ;) I'm curious what you think of the Exmark.
I'll finish up my part. The guy brought the trailer over but he only brought the two Exmarks mowers. I wanted him to lower the price since he didn't bring the Snapper. We talked for a while trying to make a deal but he wouldn't budge from the price. Finally I decided it was still too good to pass up but by then he'd talked himself into keeping the trailer. I wish now I'd just gone ahead and paid him the money and put the trailer in the driveway :frown:
I bought the mowers though. The 26 is a good mower. I cut a couple of lawns with it. I wasn't impressed enough to keep it though. The 21 I'm keeping. I haven't owned a lot of high end mowers but I love this mower. It definitely is my favorite mower so far.

I have to get some stuff for it it's kinda rough only paid 125.00 for it but it needs bushings wheels and cables ect. But exmark holds value so it's worth getting up and going

I don't know if you ever had one before but I think you'll like it. You mentioned a blade brake... did it have one? Mine does but I'm not sure I care much.

It was a tossup between selling the exmark 26 and the BOP 36. The BOP is really a good mower but nobody here knows what a BOP mower is so I didn't think it would be an easy sell.

Well here's a update on the exmark commercial 21 I decided to mess with it and fired up the wood burner first problem was the guard that's under the recoil was scratching the metal cover it was rubbing so I bend it back and it stopped I sprayed starting fluid in it and it fired so I was pretty happy I flipped the mower over and took a hold of the blade and discovered that the shaft of the engine moves me first thought is oh no that's not good and so long story short I thought I could rebuild the engine and put new bearings in it an i would be fine the block of the engine was messed up there is no bearings so I really paid 125.00 for a frame because the wheels and bushings ect all need to be replaced and on top of that a engine It did not have a blade clutch it was a Kawasaki fj180 I think any body know a replacement engine for this mower?!?!?

Damn... that's not good. Buying used is always a gamble. You have to develop a sense of which gambles are worth risking. That Honda I bought w/ the Ryobi... that was only a $50 risk and I knew the parts were worth more than that.

Okay for a replacement engine... mine has a Honda engine... GVX 160? So we know thats a candidate for a donor engine. Other Honda engines should be pretty similar in mounting to the GVX.
I think you'd like it if you got it going. I've had a few good mowers...HRX, JS63, Lawnboy 2 cycle etc. I like this mower best so far.

4 cycle? Yours is a 2 cycle ins't it? I've read those are almost indestructible if you maintain them at all.

I have the 4 cycles 4 engines actually lol the 2 cycle ones are the best but harder to come by

Yeah thanks for the info I forgot they use honda engines to I'm gonna do some research cause I don't know if it will work but the John deere 14sb has a kawasaki engine the looks similar if the block and shaft of the engine is the same I can use the covers and gas tank ect. That I have and strip it down to the block and redress it with the covers or my second choice is I found a brand new fj180v kawsaki Engine which is the same thing I had on it for 175.00+75 in shipping it was a store display model so it's never been run.

And no mine came with the 4stroke fj180v I seperated the block and every thing once I knew the engine was junk and it was the worst motor I've ever seen it had tons of sludge so I bet no one ever changed the oil hardly

I saw one on CL today. The guy wants 100 for it and its missing a rear wheel and has a few more problems. I usually see them for 50 to 75 in better shape.

I'd take an fj180 ;) I don't see any problem with the Honda engine though. Starts easy and has plenty of power. Honda engines seem easier to find and cheaper but 250 for a new engine sounds good.
Any ideas on the best mulching blades for these mowers?

I would offer the guy with the Suzuki Engine 75 the rest of the mower can be scraped if necessary. Slap the engine on the exmark you wont regret it

#37

To be honest I have no clue what blades to use on these mowers cause this is the first one I've owned and I have bigger problems on it than the blade lol but on my metro 26 I use a regular blade I don't mulch when the grass is dry it cuts it up to where u can't see it and if its wet I can still cut and I put on my side discharge and it works great for wet grass if u have a mulching blade and the grass is wet u might as well put the mower away

#38

If your gonna mulch go with a gator blade I use to use there blades until I switched over to non mulching

If you are willing to order go to jacks small engines.com and type in exmark blades but I'm sure a local dealer will have them to
