Just as pathetic,..but that is with most "music" these days,...not just his.
most "music" these days
He hasn't made any new music. His music is 20-40 years old. I listened to him when I was 15-16. Back when there was were juke boxes.
I would go to a small delicatessen on a Saturday morning have them make me sandwich and throw a quarter in the box and listen to Crocodile rock, Daniel, Tiny Dancer and Rocket man..That song is 40 years old....

That guy has skills, he dominates a keyboard and he sings in 3 octaves. He has played the largest venues in the world...everywhere. He studied at the Royal Academy of music in London.

The sound of the Moog influence in Elton's Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding off the Yellow Brick road album were some of my favorites.

Saw him at the Olympia in the early 70s. Kiki Dee opened for him. The concert was the entire Yellow Brick Road album, his best, along with the earlier Your Song, and The Bitch is Back from the then upcoming album, Caribou. One of the greatest concerts I've ever seen.

It's getting late, have you seen my mates?
Ma, tell me when the boys get here
It's seven o'clock and I wanna rock
Wanna get a belly full of beer
