You say "I rained every day last week..." That would get under my skin too....

Heck it is so wet here I would have to mow every few days to keep up but it's too wet. The sun came out yesterday afternoon but did little to dry anything out.

I just noticed that. You are right that would get annoying after a while.

Its been dry here around Atlanta too. We started off the Spring with slightly above average rainfall and I was pleased. It has stayed cool longer than normal and my newly planted grass came up thick and healthy looking. Its had 2 full months of almost perfect growing weather. Now it has gotten dry and we've had no appreciable rain on at least 3 weeks. Even though I've been watering nothing helps the plants as much as real rain water. I'm losing some of my new grass already even though temps for the most part have still been almost ideal for fescue.

I read the newest issue Of TIME magazine last night, a reader authored a letter in that issue that claimed we are getting increasingly heavy rainfalls (including those that flooded the south recently) worldwide, and many are caused by global warming. I never thought about it that way.

It's been 8 weeks here, dry as a popcorn fart.

If Florida, as well as in other areas with sandy soil, that is a serious drought because the soil will not hold moisture.

I have NEVER seen that expression before..."dry as a popcorn fart".....

My thermometer indicated 106F today.
There's probably a lot of things we say down here that you've never heard.

IMHO - The Earth goes through cycles (hot, cold, wet, dry) - Yes, we humans may have something to do with some of the problems, but they have proved that the "scientists" doctored the "evidence" to make it say what they wanted to find.
If Al ("I invented the internet") Gore believes in it and is able to profit from it --- I don't believe it!

Don't cut off your nose to spite your face.
Sounds like your saying "If Al gore said it it must not be true".
I don't know Al Gore or what his agenda is. I suggest you use your own "powers of deduction" to aquire knowledge regarding the future, climate and it's impact on yourself.
I would be more surprised to find out conclusiviley that we do not influence climate than discovering the opposite.

I have NEVER just used one source of information to make my judgments.

Al Gore has nothing to do with my opinion except that he is backing the whole "global warming" thing and making huge profits from it while HE is one of the biggest offenders with the energy use at his mansion and jetting all over the globe. I was using him as an example and a JOKE !

I'm sure we can do better, but some of the things that are suggested will have minimal impact except to make some people rich.

Again, it is just my opinion, but I believe that major reason for the climate and weather is a natural cycle that the earth goes through from time to time.

My nose is still planted firmly on this face and won't be cut off to spite it!
