Best way to sell my Poulan tractor mower?

Now that I've bought a new tractor mower, any suggestions as to how to easily sell my Poulan tractor mower?

Not sure what year it is. I bought it used myself for $450 about 2 years ago and had it overhauled for another $450 after a year of letting my tenants use it to mow 2 very rough acres of land - which they made very nice and mowable in the process of nearly ruining my mower. Fair trade off since I now live on that property and enjoy mowing the yard.

I just want a couple of hundred dollars for this mower now. It still cranks right up and I just mowed about an acre on the 4th with it. I need to install a mandrel shaft to replace one that somehow had the star pattern all mashed up. I have the new shaft - just need to get that top nut off and that's going to be a bear.

Okay.. sorry.. rambling again. lol

Any suggestions to easily, quickly sell something like this for about $250? Not trying to make any money here.

Thanks for any ideas. Houston/Katy area BTW if you're interested...

Whoops.

If it helps, this mower has a 16.5 hp B&S engine that cranks right up and runs smooth and powerful. It is a 2 blade 42" deck. Headlights work.

Yeah, I will wind up doing one or both if need be. Just wondering if there is a short cut like selling it to a mower repair shop for parts... and/or to be refurbished. It really wouldn't take much to make this all the way solid again.

Would it be worth my while to call some local mower repair shops?

A shop at best will give $50

Probably so. I'll probably wind up going with Craigslist and ask $250, take $200. Someone will still get a couple of good seasons of mowing out of it.

If you live on a busy street, do it the old fashioned way by parking it in your front yard with one of these attached to it.

You can also list it in Lawn World's private party ads forum.
