    Craftsman T2400 Kohler won't start

Still sounds like it’s not getting gas from the carb. If you remove the carb bowl plug, does gas flow from the bowl? If there’s a fuel shut off, is it completely open?

Kohler engine no spark till coasting.

That’s what I thought at first too, but he said he shot it with a little starter fluid and he got nothing. Normally, if it’s a fuel problem, it’ll at least fire and then die. But you never know.

Kohler engine no spark till coasting.

Just wondering, was this the first and only symptom? Prior to this, was there no rough running, bogging down or anything like that?

Where would the world be without the USA?

Yes, the election is ALWAYS rigged... if your party lost. When your party wins, it's TOTALLY fair! :ROFLMAO:

    YTH24K48 w/ Kohler KT735 engine issues.

Won't say it's the same problem I had, but I remember my YTH20K46 with a Kohler started having the same issue. What it ended up being was that a rod was starting to fail, it eventually broke and cracked the engine wall. This was only a couple years after purchasing the mower. The folks at...

Ariens Briggs & Stratton won't start.

I hear people say that a lot. I've used starter fluid on many engines and never had a problem. For me, it's a last resort after trying any number of other things. If the engine will not start without it, that's an indication that something else is wrong anyway, I suppose. For me, it's a...

Ariens Briggs & Stratton won't start.

I haven't read through all of the posts in this thread, but you might very well be right about it being a simple switch. I was working on an old MTD mower with a Briggs and Stratton that had an issue with the interlock switch not making contact because the bracket for the blade engagement had...

Where would the world be without the USA?

I think we all understand that the original question implied an answer as well. It's been interesting to see the responses, but the bottom line is this: the USA did not just materialize out of thin air. We're the good old melting pot, right? The good, the bad and all the in between is a...

Where would the world be without the USA?

So the first nuclear weapon was tested in New Mexico, no? And the first actual use of a nuclear weapon was by the USA, no? Many things are created without any help from the USA - at least not directly. How much technology is stolen from other countries every year. Not that we don't do the...

Where would the world be without the USA?

Are you thinking one of them would have obliterated the world if the U.S. wasn't around? I guess we're just a mix of the world's peoples anyway, but still maybe you'd be right if that's what you were thinking.

Where would the world be without the USA?

What do you mean, who's? Who's doesn't matter. My point (pertaining to the original question) was that since the first nuclear weapon was created/tested here in the US and its first use was by the US, for the original question, does it matter where we'd be without the USA; that's only given...

Where would the world be without the USA?

So in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter where we'd be without the USA, correct?

Where would the world be without the USA?

So tell me: where were nuclear weapons created?

Where would the world be? My guess: we'd still be the 3rd rock from the sun.

Carb flooding no matter what I do...

Just reading some of the comments near the end: wow, it took a bit of a turn there for a while with things like stimulus check discussions - LOL. Would love to see the before pics. Looks like you really got that thing cleaned up with the pressure washing. I never really pressure wash engines...

    Cub cadet zero turn

Hmmm... if you can verify that the battery has power (multimeter test maybe), it's likely a solenoid issue. Most of the time, I at least get a click though with a bad solenoid. But give that a check.

Carb flooding no matter what I do...

I guess anything's possible, but I'd think it'd be rare to find a new needle/float assembly that's sticking right out of the box.

Carb flooding no matter what I do...

As anyone who's had flooding from their carb, the first thought might always be an old needle sticking, but with a new carb that should not be the issue. I've had old carbs sticking like that and I'd just tap the bowl while running and that would free it up then, but you knew you had to pull it...

Know of any Kubota TG1860G mower deck installation videos?

Just to wrap up, it was very easy removing the plastic end of the barb. A flat head tilted within the plastic end worked well.

Know of any Kubota TG1860G mower deck installation videos?

You are correct. I called the dealer today and they are ordering the little plastic piece. The rep said that it is threaded in and should be able to be removed with something like a flathead that's wide enough. I was also thinking maybe of curved needle-nosed pliers. Guess how much that...

Know of any Kubota TG1860G mower deck installation videos?

Cool beans - I was thinking I’d be able to get the parts. I just wasn’t sure how easy the repair would be. All depends on how that plastic piece that the hose connects to (via clamp) is to remove/install.

Know of any Kubota TG1860G mower deck installation videos?

So I was able to spend a little time with the tractor after work and was actually able to get the mower deck installed with little effort. I wasn’t sure about the tension spring rod at first , but that made sense after reading and checking things out. I did find one issue though when...

Know of any Kubota TG1860G mower deck installation videos?

@MParr that's excellent. Thx. The pic on the 2nd page of that link helps a lot to show exactly where the tension spring rod should be positioned. I was still unsure of that, so that helps a lot.

Know of any Kubota TG1860G mower deck installation videos?

Yes, I know where those are and how to detach/attach those points. There are also other things like the adjustments for the tension spring rod, etc. I was just hoping that videos existed for things like this as well as other maintenance types things that I'd do myself. Thx

Know of any Kubota TG1860G mower deck installation videos?

Thanks, @Rivets. I did find that site and there's some good info there, but no vids of anything. Maybe they just don't exist for this model.

Know of any Kubota TG1860G mower deck installation videos?

Or any bits of info would help. I'll try and make this long story short: My father-in-law doesn't really like getting his hands dirty with small engines. If some piece of equipment starts to falter, he'll bail and buy something new. He's always giving me stuff that doesn't work anymore -...

    Poulan Pro PP5020 won't start

I took a Husqvarna I had to a local shop once. I had tried a 2-cycle mix that I didn't normally use and it was running lean. It got hot and bit the dust. One of the guys there took the plug out and shined a flashlight down the whole. He said, "dude your cylinder's scored. This thing is no...

    MTD Interlock switch

Okay, so I decided to go another route. First I was thinking that I might replace the notched bracket, but then I thought why not cut another notch (albeit small) into the bracket itself - can't hurt since I was gonna replace it anyway. So I've attached a pick of the cut-out. It works. I...

    MTD Interlock switch

My old 1999 MTD mower's clutch/brake does not allow me to start the mower unless I depress it hard - like fully down. I traced the pedal to the interlock switch (man they could have not put it in a much more difficult place to get to). Anyway, I notice that the button on the switch has to go...
