My Chihuahua died today. She was getting old but it was still sudden. She was alright, then not. It is always sad to lose a pet, there like family.

I'm so sorry to hear it. Even when your pet is older it's never easy to deal with it. If you can make some kind of memorial to her in your garden it will help a lot on the future. Sending you kind thoughts.

When a pet dies it's very difficult and painful for quite some time as they are almost always by your side and suddenly it's quiet. We sometimes we take that kind of companionship for granted while they are wilth us.
I'm not an expert but I have been through this. It's very hard for me and I know I'm going to have to go through it again. I will suggest that you try to fully understand that death is inevitable and life is to be celabrated. So rather than mourn the loss, try to celebrate the time you were able to spend with your dog. Spend some time contemplating your dogs life, as a puppy, and as an adult, both the endearing qualities and the mistakes. It will make you sad but will help you to understand how lucky you were to have this experience.
I'm sorry for your loss but I'm glad your able to have the experience of having, raising, training, and caring for your dog.

It is always sad to lose a pet, be it young or old. I remember a time while I was growing up when our dog was drugged and came running home.

It went into fits and collapsed. The memories are still etched in my mind.

Poor thing :-(

It is hard, I have had the dog longer than my son has been alive. I plan in the spring finding a suitable marker for her in my garden.

That is a really nice memorial site, thanks.

I'm so so sorry to hear about this! I love my dog so much.. she is my world and if she died, I don't know what I would do. It would be like losing a part of myself. I hope things turn out okay.
