Witch one should i get

I'm looking at buying a new husky riding mower and I'm just not sure what to do I'm mean I'm a guy of course my first thought is get the biggest one I can find but right now I don't have much land it's right on the border line push mower or rider but I'm thinking ahead to when I have more land and also I'm liking the idea of other attachments that I can use now with the rider where as now I'm doing the same job by hand but I'm just not sure what I should do

If you are looking for a rider that you can use other attachments with...
Look at garden tractors... not lawn tractors.
Also if you are going to be working within a budget, keep an eye out for good USED equipment..

Go with your instinct and get the best rider you can afford. Then go to Wally World and get a cheap-o push mower for $100 just for trimming around places the rider wont reach.

Can you get it serviced where you buy it? If not, find out where it would be serviced and talk with them. They may offer the same model for the same price, and would be more inclined to keep you happy than if you buy at one of there competitors.

Do a google search for reviews of the models that you're looking at.

It might also help to list them here.

I just got a Huskvarna 46". Love it. 46" is better than 42". You can stick that extra 4" under bushes or under fences. You can lay it on unstable railroad ties. You can mow around trees better.

48" doesn't fit on 48" inside the wall trailers.

The huskys can mow in reverse. You turn the key ONCE and then you can mow in reverse from then on. I was worried about this before I bought a new mower. I thought I had to turn the key EVERY time I wanted to mow in reverse.

i don't understand this reverse thing. Just never heard of this. Why in the world would you want to mow in reverse?

It's not that you want to mow in reverse... But there are times you must reverse directions... If your mower requires that you have to have the PTO off in order to back up... each time you reverse and then restart the deck , you have just moved one cycle closer to clutch or belt or pulley or spindle failure... everything has only so many cycles before something wares out...
The reverse "lock-out" is a problem that was the cheapest response to safety issues... It has stayed because consumers continued to buy mowers that used that method... If no one would buy them... there would have been something else done rather than what is now on most rider mowers...

Another good reason to get a ZTR... no reverse 'safety' nonsense...:smile:KennyV

Thanks that helps allot and ya I can get it serviced close by that's y I'm looking at husky because that's the only dealership close by its a 25 min drive to him if I bought a green tractor or anything else it's at least a two our drive for parts or service
