Been repairing mowers for needy people for years. I have found that for every one I do for free I get back more than I give out, plus as I bet all of you know those two words you receive when done are priceless. What are the two words? Thank you.

You May be Suprised how some of these Good deeds will turn out, many yeasr ago there was a Man that i helped him do a lot of things around his farm, i was also a farmer & much younger than he, and some times i had some extra time, and i enjoyed working with him, he was a friend, and i learned a lot while helping him, any way he decided that he was not going to keep his small heard of cattle, he had may be 25 head, one day i got a call from him that i needed to go down to the Slaughter House, he said that there was a 1/2 of beef for me , and i needed to tell them how i wanted the Meat cut, another time not to many years ago, where i still live, there was a Older Couple ( Older than Me i am 37 Model) he fell sick and i cut their yard everytime i cut mine, we have 3 lots that adds up to a little over 3 ac. their lot was just a tad over 1 ac. it only took me another 45 min to knock out their yard will i was mowing, when the sold and moved away, a couple bought the place, some way he found out that i had been cutting the grass, he asked me if i would keep cutting it, so he would not have to buy a mower, now for the last 2 years he has brought me 1000 buck (Cash all at one time) i told him that it was way to much money, he said that he makes good money and it was worth it to him to not have to worry about the grass, & know i was watchng over his place, So one never knows how a good deed will turn out, if you do to another as you would want him to do to you, is a good way to live your Life

It's good to see this kind of post on a board like this. This "used to be" the norm for neighbors helping neighbors. I still remember back in the 50's my father holding my hand on a vacant lot in Dolton Illinois and watched him finalize the deal with the contractor to build our house "with a hand shake"!!! Today? Lawsuit after lawsuit. We would leave for the weekend with our doors unlocked, windows open, and keys in the truck and never think that someone would actually enter our home! People today don't realize that when you "give", you usually receive two fold in return down the line. I am so thankful to be 70 and can do what I do and enjoy it and help the unfortunate when the opportunity arises. I only hope our actions might rub off on the younger generation when they see how our actions bring us rewards. There is "nothing" wrong with you. You just happened to find the key to happiness and in todays world, it only "seems" wrong..

There is this one lady in my neighborhood that is really old, and earlier this year she called me to ask if I could mow her lawn (she wanted it done within that hour!) Anyway, I did it, and when she went to pay me, I told her to keep it, and donate it to her favorite charity or something. She was very thankful.
