I got the Exmark Metro out yesterday for the first time and probably did the last cut of the season as well. The mower performed as expected. The micro mulching cut left no signs of grass clippings. The striping kit did an okay job, but it wasn't sunny, so striping didn't show as well as expected. This was also a 36 in deck. Kinda wishing I had went with a 48 in.

geez, now you have to wait till next season to really get some time on it:laughing:..so then with the 36"er how long did it take to mow the yard? longer grass blades will generally stripe better,(to a point)my experience anyway.good luck

It's definitely going to take some time and practice to get the striping and driving straight down. I kept the mower in 2nd gear and probably cut my time in half. I will try to post some picks later.

Here are some pics of the new mower. I tested it out yesterday and it performed well. The only 2 problems I saw with it were parts of the lawn left large tire marks (ground was somewhat saturated) and the intensity of the striping was not as intense as I expected. The striping kit weights maybe a pound and the grass pushes it back more than the striping kit pushing the grass. I'm thinking about either putting more weight and bolting it on so tight it barely moves. Thoughts? And I'm not sure if the tire marks are so noticeable because I have the bronco rider attachment?

That is one sharp looking mower, now what is this what you wish you had went with the 48 in cut. I am sure once you start using it you will like what you got. Also being smaller you will be able to get into tighter spots. Enjoy

Here iis a tip for ou also. i worked at a golf course when i was younger. they mowed the grass at different angles to keep the roots from pulling in one direction. they also inspected the blades on the cutting deck every 200 to 300 hours to insure there was no nicks in the blade and the were still sharp
