Hello All.
I've a Hustler Raptor with 42" manufactured deck, and a CRAP Kawasaki FR651 that has spun it's last RPM.
Engineering SNAFU with ACR, automatic compression release, that has finally accepted for the last time, a reach-around manual choking to facilitate start-up.
Seems Kawasaki has acknowledged this F.U. and has retired the FR651. There are still thousands of FR651 installed on equipment; but, it is no longer available as a replacement.
So I'm looking to swap-out the Kaw for a B&S 44T977-0009-G1. This is a HP upgrade with the idea that there are more horses available at a 2200-2400RPM. Show of hands here, who runs their residential machines at Max RPM continuously?
I understand the B&S may also incorporate the ACR technology, Anyone know of a failure of the ACR on any B&S?
Thanks in advance for your indulgence. I do tend to stray, momentarily to be sure, onto topics of life, liberty, and pursuit of property. Pursuit of "happiness" is redundant; I'm sure the Framer saw it that way.
