Greetings! Trying to figure out why my Raptor seems to have no power to turn over or to even move the deck. The fuel gauge comes on and the hour meter works but no power anywhere else. Swapped in a new battery last night and made sure it was fully charged. Checked all of the safety stops I could find. Hope I can find something on this site.

I've recently purchased a Hustler 295 with the snowblower attachment. I'm now going through it to make sure it runs great this coming winter.

I have a well used Hustler Raptor SD 54. Was sagging in the rear, I replaced the original braces with the recommended upgraded parts and it looks like it has a solid rear axel now. Replaced the motor, unsure of hours but blew white smoke consistently and fouled plugs. I killed the pump drive pulley trying to remove the pulley from its own stub shaft. Now I'm dealing with a slipping drive belt. Wondering if some paint removal from the drive surfaces of the new pulley is required.

Lots to learn!

Hello All.
I've a Hustler Raptor with 42" manufactured deck, and a CRAP Kawasaki FR651 that has spun it's last RPM.
Engineering SNAFU with ACR, automatic compression release, that has finally accepted for the last time, a reach-around manual choking to facilitate start-up.
Seems Kawasaki has acknowledged this F.U. and has retired the FR651. There are still thousands of FR651 installed on equipment; but, it is no longer available as a replacement.

So I'm looking to swap-out the Kaw for a B&S 44T977-0009-G1. This is a HP upgrade with the idea that there are more horses available at a 2200-2400RPM. Show of hands here, who runs their residential machines at Max RPM continuously?
I understand the B&S may also incorporate the ACR technology, Anyone know of a failure of the ACR on any B&S?

Thanks in advance for your indulgence. I do tend to stray, momentarily to be sure, onto topics of life, liberty, and pursuit of property. Pursuit of "happiness" is redundant; I'm sure the Framers saw it that way.

That unit has an enclosed cab; and 5 point landing gear?? Pretty cool looking, though Im shy on understanding the rationale of a mower with enclosed cab; unless it is air conditioned. Sure as a winter snow blower it's the bee's knees.
Come to think on it, I suppose ya'll commercial lawn care providers would mow in the rain.
