All the workers like the feel and the smoothness of operation of the huskvarnia weed eater, but once it gets old enough to have trouble, it is much harder to work on. On most of the models you have to remove the outer case to get access to the carb. The trimmers that have lasted the longest with the least trouble is Kawasaki, but the workers will use the huskv first every time. I buy mine from Lowes where I get a military discount. If you buy a 3 year warranty, you can't go wrong. If you only use it at home, the $199 223L with straight shaft should last forever. It has the smaller motor with more hp than the cheaper big headed models. The lightweight with more hp makes a big difference after an hour of trimming.
