Ya'll should gave me a heads up ...... You passed real close to my house..... Where were you in TX. ?????

We visit our daughter and her family in Santa Fe, about midway between Houston and Galveston (where the school shooting took place earlier this year.)
We got a late start yesterday and were focused on getting home.........

Yes I know what you mean by the Malfunction Junction..... Way back when the engineers and a few others put a lot of money in their pockets when they designed the NEW bridge and only ONE lane coming off the bridge onto I-10 what a piece of crap design that was, 3 lanes bottlenecking into 1 lane...... Now even with the xtra lane it's still hell to get on there because the right lane quickly turns into the off ramp at Dalrymple St. I think... It's the first exit off I-10 anyhow....

It's not bad in the Pm to go east but is a pain in the Am .........

If you want to experience as little "pucker factor X 10 be on a motorcycle going over that bridge west to east on a Saturday in the fall when LSU has a home game and it is raining. I have done that trip WAY to many times. Hearing an 18 wheeler sliding on that bridge decking behind you with no where to go in front of you can (will) cause grey hairs. Hope y'all had a great Christmas.

If you want to experience as little "pucker factor X 10 be on a motorcycle going over that bridge west to east on a Saturday in the fall when LSU has a home game and it is raining. I have done that trip WAY to many times. Hearing an 18 wheeler sliding on that bridge decking behind you with no where to go in front of you can (will) cause grey hairs. Yep a friend of mine from Mamou La. Just 10 miles north of me..... In fact I was living in Mamou at that time....He was with his wife on Harley and a 18 wheeler ran into him..... He was dead on impact and both were thrown over the rail and hit the water ...... It's a long way down from the bridge to the water.......... A small boat had heard a loud noise and saw them falling .... Barry was dead, but Linda survived the ordeal ......

I forget how many millions of dollars she got from that accident .......
