Re: MTD Yardman Transaxle Rebuild
Been shovelin' dirt the last few days....relocating 7 yards is more difficult than it used to be.
The tractor (golf cart) and wagon (Harbor Freight tin dump trailer) can move about 50 shovel fulls at a time.
Even that takes 2 rounds of shovelin' per load.(Thank goodness for my adjustable shovel!)
Shovel, rest,shovel, dump, rake.
Repeat.
Then scratch up and sow rye grass seed ahead of Thursday's rains.
Maybe have 2 more loads to spread around the area, but many loads after that to use in other areas of the property.
I had to fill in some rain-washed trenches and a trench where I put a drain line from a retention area we did a year or so ago.
The goal is to get MORE grassy areas to mow.
This is all in an area which we reclaimed from woody undergrowth a couple of years ago.
All this wrapped around disassembling my 350 Chevy motor, going to the dentist, and meetings with potential financial advisor.
I hope to take block and heads to machine shop tomorrow. Fingers crossed that it will not need to be bored.
Sure glad I don't have to squeeze a job in there somewhere............
