So my new to me 1999 Exmark Lazer Z blew a head gasket yesterday. Antifreeze in the oil. Started the tear down yesterday. In one hour I only managed to remove the radiator. They build these like a tank. But in a stupid way. Put bolts where you can not get to them unless you remove it from the mower. I still like the build. I do not know if I will get any time to work on it today but I would like to get to the head gasket so I know what I need to order for the repair. My real problem comes from not knowing what engine I have. I found a plate that said a model number but had no luck with that number. So I looked a little deeper and found reference to FD620D on my mower. So far everything like spark plugs and oil filter has worked but I am worried about a head gasket. I am assuming that it is much more important to be an exact fit. I hope I find something on the engine that will give me the model number. Family I.D. SKA617U1G2RA is what I found on the sticker on the engine. EPA sticker I think.

Well, Martin Truex Jr. raced logano clean...........side by side for 6 laps and never touched him..........

Then joey punts Martin to 3rd place.

Friggin' logano.............................

At least my man Lewis Hamilton won the F1 driver's championship today...........GO LEWIS !!

I like ALL team Penske drivers, I really was hopin Truex would close out his season with a Championship, it was a HELLUVA GREAT race in the last 30 laps, even though Logano bumped him, it wasn't as dirty as racing was back 25 or 30 years ago, when they had team fist-fights and guys bein put over the wall, and all they got back then, was a trophy and some small amount of money, THEN the auto companies and Big-Business got into it and the stakes have changed ... I sure do miss the good ol days ......... BTW announcement that Truex And his Crew-Chief have a tentative offer to join another team for next year... hope it works out, .. :thumbsup:..:thumbsup:

Thank you boo. Guess what? It was the intake manifold gasket. Sure wish I would have figured that out before I took the heads off.:laughing::laughing::laughing:
