Garage door news flash

Door #2 is in!
Received the new torsion spring yesterday (replacing the broken one) installed and tensioned.
I had installed the opener the previous day.
Outlet box installed in ceiling, I only need to route the power down a rafter.
Control wiring should be here today.
I'm gonna make the top panel and install.
The system should be up and operating by the end of the day.
Then, just awaiting remote for door #2.
All should be complete except for the aluminum skins.

This is somewhat unusual for me......I usually lose interest after I see that the project is doable.
For me, the fascination is in the figuring out HOW to do something, rather than actually DOING it.......

Door opener gremlin

Door #2 went in and operated so easily....one finger lift and close.
Then, I hooked up the optics and opener button.
Couldn't get the button to work. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Turns out the little T35 stapler actually broke the control wire insulation and shorted the wire ......
backed off on the staple and moved wire a bit and..VOILA !!

All is good.
We actually have a garage now!
