My father served in the army, went many places on this earth, and he told me that the people that bitch the most about their own country are just trying to keep others out of it and uninterested in it.

Yesterday morning I bought two six packs of beer on sale at the Liquor Store

I placed them on the front seat of the car and headed back home.

I stopped at the service station where a drop-dead gorgeous, almost blonde was filling up her car at the next pump

It was very warm and she was wearing tight shorts and a light top which was wide open. She glanced at the beer, bent over and knocked on my passenger window. With her bra-less breasts almost falling out of her skimpy top she said, in a sexy voice, “I'm a big believer in barter, old fellow, would you be interested in trading sex for beer?"

I thought for a few seconds and asked, "What kind of beer you got?"

Your dad was right! We have been promoting Maine as the coldest, dreariest, most arse-backwards, hill-billiest, ignorant place in the lower 48.. It worked for years, but then them fellas frum Mass-hole-achusetts started comin' up in motor-cars and figgered out we was lyin'... And the bastards have been comin' and even worse, STAYIN' ever since...

I have been to Maine, thought it was nice. Just not where I wanted to settle down. Only thing in Massachusetts I like, is Boston, wife and I go there a lot when we need a break from the kids and the business.

went to the Annual Boston Seafood Festival last year, and planned to attend this year as well, but my wifes mother had just passed away a few weeks before and we thought it would send the wrong message to the children.......always next year, right

I still have to disagree. If you re-read what you wrote above and analyze the salient points, I think you will realize that base animalistic drives are what's behind nearly all that we do. Certainly those drives are modified by whatever society we have grown up in, to one degree or another, but the very fact that they are consistent whether you are talking about man's best friend or your neighbor's snappy wife, pretty much proves the point.

Please understand that I completely agree with you as far as treating women as equals are concerned. Rape, assault, abuse and the rest have no place in a civilized world, but that doesn't keep me from appreciating a good looking woman. In this instance "appreciating" does not mean "ripping her clothes off", either mentally or physically, but then I'm approaching my mid-70's, with a 'dusting' of snow on my roof and just about enough heat left in the boiler to keep the engine running. However, I can still dream and sweet dreams often put a smile on my face... I 'hope' those smiles are interpreted as honest 'appreciation' and nothing more. (I'd hate to be included in the current rash of "sexual abuse" cases! "He SMILED at me and I felt uncomfortable!!")

Honey, if what 'he' did was bad enough to report, then you should have kicked him in the nuts like your mother taught you and have been done with it!! - - - Sorry, I got caught up in current events..

AND yet AGAIN , I will AGREE with ROGER ( Goomba) 199% ... the culture in OZ is way different than here in "the States", guess I grew-up with a bunch of perv's and was one myself, had our faces slapped many times for the ocassional "groping" and comments we spewed to the sweeties back in High-School, but that was the "norm" back then, kids with raging hormones and being in the "society" of those times, American women, up until recently, have always heard wolf-whistles and off-color suggestive comments from their male counterparts, we grew-up accepting it as part off manhood, now, by a mere accusation, a woman, can destroy a man with a few comments whether true OR NOT !! Things have REALLY changed, ! I believe it was a few guys at "Duke University", were FALSELY accused of rape, ruining their futures YEP, the tide HAS turned, so keep your hands to yourself and your mouth shut ! your "fun" at the Drive-In movie theatre days are long gone.
