Okay.
If the key is sheared it can throw off ignition timing

Teaspoon of gas in plug hole. Try to start, no choke.
Should run for short burst. If not, there is an ignition issue.
If does run for short burst and quits...indicates a fuel delivery issue.

I ask as nicely as I can... please dont patronize me. I rebuilt my first lawnmower nearly 40 years ago. I've set points. I've adjusted valves more times than I can count. Please read the entire post before you comment.

Everything is as good as new. Like I originally posted it was used once. I was grateful for no damage to the crank case. It was just used without oil. Having said that it did have a minimal amount from the factory. That was enough to break the piston arm that I replaced.

Odd, I punched in that DB model number and it didn't come up on their website
If I'm correct it has a Honda clone 212cc?
