Scag walk behind with wrong engine?

Have a Scag SW36-14KA with a Kawasaki one cylinder OHV engine on it.
There is no label on the engine for information.
In the parts breakdown of the mower this unit should have a flathead engine.
Was there a serial number or year that the mower came with an OHV engine?
 
Most likely you have FC420V series engine which Scag start listing in the IPL when the 7 digit serial numbers appeared. Doesn't list a spec number. Also is could be recoil or electric start version.

Thank you for the info. That engine is 14HP and should be the spec for the 36" cut deck
 
I not saying it not spec'd that mower. I saying that you would looking various FC420V engine to find the correct parts as there are multiple versions out there under under different spec (type) numbers.

I'll have to look to see what bore size I have to be sure, but it gives me direction now.
I see parts for this engine looks to be on Ebay now also.
