My Ferrari Mower

Gran Prix Mower. This little mower is in great shape. 3 forward gears and reverse. 12 horse Briggs. Not sure what year it is.

Other than the grill and headlights it is similar to a Dynamark. :smile: Gas cap also would show through top of hood on a Dynamark if i am not mistaken.

I think you are right. When putting gas in the Gran Prix however, you lift the hood and fill the small tank. Did yours also have a 3-speed?

I also have a 1948 Ford 8N. This tractor has been overhauled. Whats nice about this tractor is the 3 point hitch set up. I would use the 72 inch mower you have seen on the Ford 2N, but more often the 60 inch Douglas finisher (I like the rollers in the front). My Dad lives acrosss the road and he has a 1958 Ford 861 Powermaster with a late model 72 inch Massey Ferguson mower.

No, unfortunately the Dynamark does not have the Peerless 3 speed although I do have a old Electra Chaperral with the 3 speed.

Currently my stable consists of 7 lawn tractors, 1 garden tractor, 5 self propelled mowers, 2 push mowers, a 1956 Ford 600 agricultural tractor that I recently overhauled and various implements.
Most all of the mowers were free or purchased inexpensively. The Yard Machine below is my newest addition that I picked up off Craigs list a couple weeks ago for free. It was located only 8 miles from my residence. Apparently it had carburator isssues as it was complete except for the carburator and air cleaner had been removed. It came with a new battery (May 2012) and new front tire to boot. :biggrin:

That was a Great Buy! I have not bought anything lately. Too many projects. I want to restore a Case 222 mower I bought last fall. Also have a Case 116 XC I would like to make it go fast. I really like the Hydrive system. I am having a John Deere 140 overhauled, my neighbor is helping me. Also working on a 112 and 110 that run.:confused2:
