He is actually more brindle in color. Almost tiger striped in fact. A lady that is a groomer said he looked to her like a Plott Hound. He is about 5 months old. He weighs about 27#'s. He is "SUPPOSED" to be 1/2 Jack Russell and 1/2 Feist Terrier. I do not however see the resemblance of either in him.

Looks like a Catahoula hound.
It sure is no JRT and I've never seen a Feist like that, but Fiest is kind of a generic term. It could be Fiest crossed wth a Catahoula or black mouth cur. It does somwhat resemble a plott hound.......small one.
Lets just go with "Sooner" or "Biscuit eater".
Whatever it is I hope you get many years of loyal companionship out of him.

There are some folks in our part of the world that have Plotts that they coon hunt with. I honestly believe that he is part Plott. The girl I got him from swore to me that his mother was a Jack Russell. Possibly he might be half Jack Russell and half Plott and he got his color from the Plott. I would just like to now how stinking big he is going to get. He is a very intelligent and very active little dog. For a puppy though he is very easy to handle.

Don't know about the dog but he looks good. It may be that he's so mixed that he doesn't look like any single breed.
