Ironic that by today's standards Pennsylvania oil is considered low grade due to ash and sulphur content.

Low grade for engine oil
Perfect for heavy loads like crash gearboxes train gears, mining equipment etc.
Disaster for any box with syncro cones

I'm using synthetic (ester based) Redline 10w-40. No problems.
